About

Scriptbeat is a fully local video/podcast script structure and pacing toolkit. structure_template gives the ordered sections (with purpose and typical % of total runtime) for one of 6 content types: tutorial, vlog, interview, narrative, explainer, review; content_type_list shows them all. pacing_guide gives words-per-minute ranges and a pacing note per content type. word_count_for_duration and duration_for_word_count are real computed conversions between a target duration and word count, using an explicit WPM, a content type's default, or an overall average. hook_body_cta_outline is the flagship tool: given a content type and a target length, it computes a full time-boxed outline with each section's seconds and target word count, from that content type's real structural proportions. retention_pacing_tips gives general audience-retention advice. podcast_format_info covers 4 podcast formats (solo, interview, panel, narrative/serial); podcast_format_list shows them all. scriptbeat_glossary defines terms like cold open, A-roll/B-roll, lower third, cutaway, VO, SFX cue, beat, run-time, teaser, CTA, show notes. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

Sources: Hand-curated structure templates and widely observed spoken-word pacing conventions as of build date, combined with real computed word-count/duration/outline math; fully local, zero upstream calls.

What Scriptbeat is for

"What's the structure of a good tutorial video?", "how many words do I need for a 10 minute video?", "give me a full outline for a 5 minute explainer" — a practical video/podcast script structure and pacing toolkit that combines hand-curated structural templates with real computed word-count and timing math.

What it does

structure_template gives the ordered sections — with each one's purpose and typical share of total runtime — for 6 content types: tutorial, vlog, interview, narrative, explainer, review (content_type_list shows them all). pacing_guide gives words-per-minute ranges and a pacing note per content type. word_count_for_duration and duration_for_word_count are real computed conversions between a target duration and a target word count. hook_body_cta_outline is the flagship tool: give it a content type and a target length, and it computes a full time-boxed outline — every section's seconds and target word count — from that content type's real structural proportions. retention_pacing_tips gives general audience-retention advice. podcast_format_info covers 4 podcast formats, and scriptbeat_glossary defines the vocabulary.

What it is not

Not a script-writing AI — it builds the skeleton (timing and structure), not the actual words. Section proportions and pacing ranges are common starting points based on widely observed convention, not fixed rules; adjust them for your own style, audience, and platform.

Scriptbeat — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Scriptbeat is. Scriptbeat is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for video/podcast script structure templates and pacing/outline calculations. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a content type, a duration, a word count, an optional topic string used only to echo back in the outline, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from bundled templates or computed on the spot, and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all — and no query, including any topic string you provide, is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Scriptbeat is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Scriptbeat — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Scriptbeat connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Scriptbeat returns video/podcast script structure templates, pacing guidance, and computed word-count/duration/outline math. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Templates and math, not a scriptwriter. The Service provides structural skeletons and timing calculations; it does not write actual script copy, and section proportions/pacing ranges are common conventions, not guarantees your content will perform a particular way.
  3. Reference, not real-time guidance. Content reflects general, widely observed script-structure and pacing convention as of the build date stated in the Service's own data.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from bundled templates or computed on the spot, and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
