About

Skywatch turns 'what's up tonight' into times and directions for any place on Earth. From a fresh orbit and an SGP4 propagator: every visible pass of the International Space Station in the coming days — when it rises and where, how high it climbs, when it fades into Earth's shadow, how bright it will look — plus where the station is right now. From a local ephemeris: sunrise, sunset, solar noon, civil/nautical/astronomical twilight, golden hour, moonrise and moonset, the moon's phase and next full and new moon; and which planets are visible tonight with when they're up, where to look, brightness and a spotting tip. Bundled calendars: every meteor shower's peak with rate, radiant and the moon's brightness that night, and every solar and lunar eclipse through 2030 with where it's visible. Live feeds: the aurora oval probability and Kp forecast for your coordinates (NOAA), upcoming rocket launches worldwide with webcast links, asteroids passing within a few lunar distances (NASA/JPL), who is in space, and NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day. Keyless, nothing stored; pass predictions verified against Skyfield to the minute.
