Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
search_musictrackalbumartistdiscographysimilar_artistschartslistening_nowpodcast_searchpodcast_episodesTunes puts music and podcast catalogues behind one connector. Deezer: search tracks, albums, artists and playlists; a track with album, release date, ISRC, BPM, contributors and a 30-second preview; an album with label, genres and full tracklist; an artist with fans, top tracks and similar artists; a discography newest-first; charts for tracks, albums, artists, playlists and podcasts, overall or by genre; podcast search and latest episodes. TheAudioDB: biography, origin, formed year, genre, style and members. MusicBrainz: canonical identity. ListenBrainz: site-wide most-played artists, tracks and albums by period. Keyless; no lyrics; nothing stored.

Deezer's public catalogue: search tracks (artist, album, duration, 30-second preview), albums, artists and public playlists; a track with release date, ISRC, BPM, contributors and explicit flag; an album with label, genres, duration and full tracklist; an artist with fans, top ten tracks and similar artists; a discography newest-first with release types; charts for tracks, albums, artists, playlists and podcasts overall or by genre; podcast search and episodes. TheAudioDB (free tier): biography, origin, formed year, genre, style, label and members. MusicBrainz: canonical identity (type, country, active years, tags). ListenBrainz: site-wide top artists, tracks and albums by listen count for a week, month, year or all time.
Tunes never returns lyrics — they are copyrighted; it links to the track's page instead. Previews are Deezer's 30-second clips, not full streams. Charts are Deezer's editorial charts (global); ListenBrainz statistics reflect its own community. Concert dates and ticketing are not covered.

What Tunes is. Tunes is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for music and podcast information: search, tracks, albums, artists, discographies, charts, listening statistics, podcasts and episodes. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the song, album, artist or podcast name, identifier or genre needed for the lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call (a title, an artist or podcast name, a catalogue id, a genre, a period), the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Lookups are forwarded, not stored. Queries are passed to the sources below and the answer is returned to your assistant. We do not record what you listen to or ask about, infer tastes or build a profile. Nothing you send is stored, logged in request bodies or used to train anything. Successful upstream answers are cached in memory for one hour (charts, search) to one day (catalogue records), keyed by the query, to reduce load on the sources.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, streaming-service accounts or listening history. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. Deezer (api.deezer.com), TheAudioDB (theaudiodb.com), MetaBrainz (musicbrainz.org, listenbrainz.org). Each receives the query and our server's IP address, never yours. Preview links returned to your assistant point to Deezer's CDN; opening them is a request from your device to Deezer under Deezer's privacy policy. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Tunes is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant; explicit-content flags are passed through from the catalogue.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
