What UK Tender Radar is for
UK Tender Radar reads the public Contracts Finder OCDS search (Cabinet Office, England and non-devolved bodies) and the Find a Tender OCDS release packages (above-threshold notices) so a small business or its agent can run a weekly tender check. search_notices filters notices published in a date window by keyword, CPV code, region, value band and SME suitability, notices_closing_soon lists open tenders closing in the next N days, and match_sme_profile scores open tenders against a profile of CPV codes, region, contract size and keywords, showing the reasons for each score. find_a_tender_updates lists above-threshold notices created or updated since a date, notice_detail fetches one Contracts Finder notice as published (contact-person fields left out), and buyer_recent_awards lists a buyer's recent award notices with supplier and value. deadline_countdown counts calendar and working days to a deadline. Results come from paging the services (100 releases per page, capped per call) and every answer says how many pages were scanned and whether the scan was complete. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland portals are not covered. Notices are informational: bids are made on the buyer's portal, never here, and the official notice is the authority for eligibility and deadlines. Read-only.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which new public-sector tenders for grounds maintenance were published this week?"
- "Which of this week's tenders fit a small grounds-maintenance firm in Leeds?"
- "Which tenders for my sector close in the next 7 days?"
- "Which new above-threshold tenders for cloud hosting appeared since Monday?"
- "What has this council awarded recently, and to whom?"
- "How many working days do I have before the tender closes on 6 October?"

Answer size (detail)
The five notice-listing tools (search_notices, find_a_tender_updates, notices_closing_soon, match_sme_profile, buyer_recent_awards) answer with detail=summary by default: compact notice rows (id, source, stage, title, buyer, status, dates, days left, value, CPV code, SME flag, notice link and how the link was built; award rows add supplier, award value and date; scored rows add the score and its reasons), at most 12 of them, about 10 to 12 KB. detail=full returns up to limit complete rows with description excerpts, CPV description, method, category and place, the same answer as before wave 19: about 30 to 35 KB at 25 notices and about 123 KB at 100. The summary says how many of the matching notices it shows.
Conventions
- Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
- Result envelope.
ok: truewith data, orok: falsewith a structurederror(bad_input,not_found,upstream_error).degradedlists optional sources that were unreachable. - Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with
