riddle_of_the_dayrandom_riddlecheck_answerriddles_by_categorysearch_riddlestongue_twisterscategories_listexplain_wordplayUrdu Riddles is a hand-curated, fully local reference to Urdu riddles (paheliyan) and tongue twisters. riddle_of_the_day returns one riddle, the same for everyone each day (answer optionally hidden for guessing). random_riddle returns a random one. riddles_by_category lists every riddle/twister in one category (Nature & Objects, Wordplay & Wit, Places & Structures, Logic & Tricks, or Tongue Twisters). search_riddles does a keyword search across question, answer, hint and category. tongue_twisters lists every tongue twister with a note on what makes it hard to say. check_answer fuzzy-matches a guessed answer against a riddle's real answer, so a typo or a partial or English guess can still be marked correct. categories_list lists every category with its count. explain_wordplay gives the linguistic explanation of the pun behind one riddle or twister, or says plainly when a riddle is a straightforward descriptive riddle with no pun. These are traditional folk riddles about wordplay and wit -- never about any group of people or lazy stereotypes. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls.
Sources: Each riddle and tongue twister cross-checked against published Urdu riddle collections and forum-archived paheliyan before being written in Urdu script and added; fully local, zero upstream calls

39 hand-curated Urdu riddles and 6 tongue twisters, each written in genuine Urdu (Perso-Arabic Nastaliq)
script with a romanized transliteration and an English hint or translation (search_riddles,
riddles_by_category, categories_list, tongue_twisters); a riddle of the day, the same for everyone,
and a random one each call, both with the answer optionally hidden for guessing
(riddle_of_the_day, random_riddle); a fuzzy answer-checker that still counts a close, partial, or
English-language guess as correct (check_answer); and a linguistic explanation of the pun behind riddles
that hinge on wordplay, or a plain note when a riddle is simply descriptive with no pun at all
(explain_wordplay).
Not a joke book built on stereotypes — every riddle here is about wordplay, wit, or a clever twist in everyday logic, never about any group of people. Not a claim that Urdu riddles belong to one religion or region — a small number of traditional riddles reference religious life (the call to prayer, daily prayers) alongside others referencing everyday objects, simply reflecting the range of real folk material, not an exclusive framing. Every riddle and tongue twister was checked against a published riddle collection before being added; script text was never invented from memory alone, and any double-meaning riddle with adult or crude content was left out. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.
riddle_of_the_day — One riddle, the same for everyone on a given calendar day. Use for "Urdu riddle of the day". Args: reveal_answer.
random_riddle — A randomly chosen riddle (different each call). Use for "give me a random Urdu riddle to guess". Args: reveal_answer.
check_answer — Fuzzy-matches a guessed answer against one riddle's real answer — a close or partial guess (a typo, a partial word, English instead of Urdu) still counts as correct. Use for "is 'car' the right answer to this riddle", "check my guess for the moon riddle". Args: riddle, guess.
riddles_by_category — Every riddle (or tongue twister) in one category. Use categories_list for valid names. Use for "list Urdu wordplay riddles", "logic riddles in Urdu". Args: category, reveal_answer.
search_riddles — Keyword search across every riddle's question, answer, hint and category. Use for "Urdu riddle about the moon", "any paheli with the answer clock". Args: query.
categories_list — Every category (including Tongue Twisters) with how many entries it has. Use for "what kinds of Urdu riddles do you have".
tongue_twisters — Every tongue twister (zabaan paich), each with a romanized transliteration, English translation and a note on what makes it hard to say. Use for "give me an Urdu tongue twister".
explain_wordplay — The linguistic explanation of the pun or wordplay behind one riddle or tongue twister (many riddles are plain object riddles with no pun — this says so clearly rather than inventing one). Use for "explain the wordplay in the shirt riddle", "why is the tongue twister about nazar hard to say". Args: riddle.
ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.agent@connectorbay.com · connectorbay.com/urduriddles/support

What Urdu Riddles is. Urdu Riddles is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated Urdu riddles and tongue-twisters reference. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a riddle id, a category, a search keyword, or a
guessed answer for check_answer — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a
client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query, including your riddle guesses, is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Urdu Riddles is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
