Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
supply_kit_checklistwater_storage_calculatorfood_storage_guideemergency_type_guidedocument_checklistcommunication_plan_guidego_bag_checklistpet_emergency_guidepreparedness_glossaryVault is a home emergency-preparedness reference and calculator, fully local with no upstream calls. supply_kit_checklist gives a FEMA/Ready.gov-style disaster supply kit grouped by category, for a given number of days and optionally scaled to a household size. water_storage_calculator does the exact math for how much water to store using the standard 1-gallon-per-person-per-day planning figure. food_storage_guide covers what non-perishable food to store, how much, rotation, storage conditions, and cooking without power. emergency_type_guide gives general before/during/after preparedness steps for power outage, winter storm, hurricane/flood, wildfire, or earthquake — every response explicitly states this is general guidance, not current or live alerts, and points to local emergency management, NOAA/weather.gov and Ready.gov for real-time information. document_checklist lists important documents to keep copied and accessible (identification, financial, medical, household/legal), with storage tips. communication_plan_guide explains how to build a family emergency communication plan: an out-of-area contact, two meeting places, and a template's fields. go_bag_checklist is a lighter, portable evacuation checklist, optionally scaled by household size. pet_emergency_guide covers the often-overlooked pet side of preparedness — kit items, advance planning, and evacuating with pets. preparedness_glossary defines common terms like go bag, shelter in place, defensible space, and drop-cover-hold-on. Keyless; nothing stored; general preparedness reference only, never a substitute for official real-time alerts, medical or legal advice.

A FEMA/Ready.gov-style disaster supply kit checklist, grouped by category (water & food, communication, light &
power, first aid, sanitation, tools & safety, documents & money, household-specific) for a given number of days
and optionally scaled to a household size (supply_kit_checklist); the exact math for how much water to store,
using the standard planning figure of 1 gallon per person per day (water_storage_calculator); general
non-perishable food storage guidance — what to store, how much, rotation, storage conditions, and cooking
without power (food_storage_guide); general before/during/after preparedness steps for five emergency types —
power outage, winter storm, hurricane/flood, wildfire, and earthquake (emergency_type_guide); an
important-documents checklist covering identification, financial & property, medical, and household & legal
records, with storage tips (document_checklist); a guide to building a family emergency communication plan —
an out-of-area contact, two meeting places, texting over calling (communication_plan_guide); a lighter,
portable evacuation "go bag" checklist, optionally scaled by household size (go_bag_checklist); pet-emergency
guidance covering kit items, advance planning, and evacuating with pets — a genuinely often-overlooked part of
preparedness (pet_emergency_guide); and a glossary of common preparedness terms (preparedness_glossary).
Vault is not a source of current or live emergency information. It has no access to real-time weather data,
active alerts, evacuation orders, or road conditions, and every emergency_type_guide response says so
explicitly. For anything happening right now — a storm bearing down, an active evacuation zone, a wildfire's
current perimeter — check your local emergency management agency, NOAA (weather.gov or a NOAA Weather Radio), or
Ready.gov, or call 911 if you're in immediate danger. Vault is also not medical, legal, or insurance advice: its
document and communication-plan guidance is general organizational guidance, and household needs (medical
conditions, infants, mobility, climate, pets) always add to the baselines given here rather than replace your
own judgment.
supply_kit_checklist — A FEMA/Ready.gov-style disaster supply kit checklist, grouped by category (water & food, communication, light & power, first aid, sanitation, tools & safety, documents & money, household-specific), for a given number of days and optionally scaled to a household size. Use for "what should be in an emergency kit", "build me a 2-week supply list for a family of 5". Args: household_size, days.
water_storage_calculator — Exact water-storage math using the standard planning figure of 1 gallon per person per day (household_size x days x 1 gallon), plus context on the 3-day minimum / 2-week-at-home recommendations, who needs more than the baseline, and storage/rotation tips. Use for "how much water should I store for a family of 4 for a week", "how many gallons do I need for 2 weeks". Args: household_size, days.
food_storage_guide — General non-perishable food storage guidance: what to store, how much, rotation ('first in, first out'), storage conditions, and cooking without power. Use for "how do I rotate my emergency food", "how much food should I store per person", "can I still cook if the power is out". Args: topic.
go_bag_checklist — A lighter, portable evacuation ("go bag" / "bug-out bag") checklist — grab-and-go essentials, personal & medical, comfort & extras — optionally scaled to a household size. Use for "what goes in a go bag", "build me an evacuation bag checklist for 3 people". Args: household_size.
emergency_type_guide — General before/during/after preparedness steps for one emergency type. This is general preparedness reference, never current/live alerts — every response says so explicitly and points to official real-time sources (local emergency management, NOAA/weather.gov, Ready.gov). Use for "what should I do before a hurricane", "how do I prepare for an earthquake", "winter storm safety tips". Args: type.
document_checklist — Important documents to have copied and kept accessible — identification, financial & property, medical, household & legal — plus storage tips (fireproof safe, grab-and-go copies, encrypted backup). General organizational guidance, not legal advice. Use for "what documents should I keep copies of for an emergency".
communication_plan_guide — How to build a family emergency communication plan: an out-of-area contact, two meeting places, texting over calling, written/offline copies, covering school and work, plus a template's fields and practice tips. Use for "how do I make a family emergency communication plan", "what's an out-of-area contact".
pet_emergency_guide — General pet-preparedness guidance — kit items (food, water, carrier, records, ID), planning ahead (pet-friendly shelters/hotels, a backup caretaker list), and evacuating with pets. Genuinely often overlooked. Use for "how do I prepare my pets for an emergency", "what goes in a pet emergency kit".
preparedness_glossary — Definitions of common emergency-preparedness terms (go bag, shelter in place, out-of-area contact, defensible space, drop-cover-hold-on, storm surge, and more). Use for "what does shelter in place mean", "what is defensible space". Args: term.
ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.agent@connectorbay.com · connectorbay.com/vault/support

What Vault is. Vault is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a home emergency-preparedness reference: supply-kit and go-bag checklists, a water-storage calculator, food-storage guidance, per-emergency-type preparedness steps, a documents checklist, a family communication-plan guide, pet-emergency guidance, and a glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a household size, a number of days, an emergency type, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered or computed from a bundled reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, your home address, or any information about your actual emergency supplies or plans, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and every calculation runs locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Vault is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
