About

Asanas bundles yoga reference into one connector, hand-curated rather than scraped. Poses: 59 entries across standing, seated, backbend, forward fold, twist, inversion, balance, prone, supine, restorative, arm balance, hip opener and core, each with Sanskrit and English names, difficulty, benefits, contraindications and drishti — look one up directly or search by category, difficulty or targeted body part. Sequences: eight pre-built themes (morning energizer, hip openers, backbend prep, beginner foundations, power flow, gentle evening, core strength, twists & detox) expanded into full pose detail. Pranayama: seven breathing techniques with steps, counts and cautions. Chakras: the seven chakras with location, element, color, seed mantra and associated poses. Sun salutations: the complete Surya Namaskar A and B step lists with breath cues. Mantras: common Sanskrit mantras with meaning. Modifications: guidance and props for common limitations, checked against a pose's own contraindications when given. Class timer: splits a class length into centering/warmup/standing/peak/cooldown/savasana by style. Glossary: Sanskrit terms. Keyless; nothing stored; wellness information, not medical advice.

Sources: Hand-curated yoga reference data bundled with the server — no upstream calls

What Asanas is for

The reference questions that come up around a yoga practice: what's the Sanskrit name for a pose you know in English (or the reverse), what should you avoid if you have a specific injury, what poses open the hips or target tight hamstrings, what a themed sequence looks like start to finish, how to actually do a breathing technique step by step, what a chakra represents, the full step list for Sun Salutation A or B, what a mantra means, and how to time out a class.

What it does

Poses — 59 poses (standing, seated, backbend, forward fold, twist, inversion, balance, prone, supine, restorative, arm balance, hip opener, core) with Sanskrit and English names, difficulty, benefits, contraindications and drishti (gaze point); look one up directly or search by category, difficulty, or targeted body part. Sequences — eight pre-built themed sequences (morning energizer, hip openers, backbend prep, beginner foundations, power flow, gentle evening, core strength, twists & detox) expanded into full pose detail. Pranayama — seven breathing techniques (Nadi Shodhana, Kapalabhati, Ujjayi, Bhramari, Sitali, Box Breathing, 4-7-8) with step-by-step instructions, counts and cautions. Chakras — the seven chakras with location, element, color, seed mantra and associated poses. Sun salutations — the complete step list for Surya Namaskar A and B with breath cues. Mantras — common Sanskrit mantras with transliteration and meaning. Modifications — guidance and suggested props for common limitations (tight hamstrings, wrist pain, knee pain, lower back pain, shoulder injury, high blood pressure, pregnancy, neck injury, and more), optionally checked against a specific pose's own contraindications. Class timer — splits a class length into centering/warmup/standing/peak/ cooldown/savasana minutes by style (vinyasa, hatha, yin, power, restorative). Glossary — Sanskrit terms.

What it is not

Wellness reference, not medical advice or a substitute for an in-person teacher — every response says so. Contraindications and modification guidance are general starting points; anyone with an injury, a medical condition, or who is pregnant should check with a doctor and a qualified teacher. This is a reference tool, not a video or live-instruction platform.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Asanas — Privacy Policy

Effective 23 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Asanas is. Asanas is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for yoga reference: pose lookup and search, themed sequences, pranayama, chakras, sun salutations, mantras, modification guidance and class timing. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the pose name, search filters, or settings needed for that one lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a pose name or search filters, a sequence theme, a breathing technique name, a chakra query, a mantra search term, a limitation and optional pose for modification guidance, or a class length and style — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. All reference data (poses, sequences, pranayama, chakras, mantras, glossary) is hand-curated and bundled with the server; no request is forwarded to any third party, and no query — including any mention of an injury or limitation you're working around — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or account credentials, and we do not build a health or fitness profile from your queries. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Asanas is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Asanas — Terms of Service

Effective 23 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Asanas connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Asanas returns yoga reference information — pose lookup and search, themed sequences, pranayama, chakra reference, sun salutation steps, mantras, modification guidance and class timing — from hand-curated data bundled with the server. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not medical advice. Pose contraindications and modification guidance are general starting points, not a substitute for individualized medical or professional advice. Consult a doctor and a qualified yoga teacher before starting or modifying a practice, especially with an injury, a medical condition, or during pregnancy.
  3. Not a live instructor. The Service provides written reference material only; it does not observe your form, correct alignment, or replace in-person instruction.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss, including injury, arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
