Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
countrycountry_indicatorcountriescountriesplacedistancewhats_hereairportsairportsconvert_coordinatesAtlas answers geography questions from bundled reference tables and a few keyless live sources. Countries — all 250, by name in any of 17 languages or ISO code: official and native names, capital, region, currencies with symbols, languages, calling code, TLD, area, neighbours, landlocked, demonym and flag, plus the latest World Bank indicators (population, GDP, GDP per capita, growth, life expectancy, inflation, unemployment, urbanisation, internet use, literacy, CO₂, fertility, forest cover, electricity access, Gini and more) as single values or multi-year series with the change; and countries filtered by region, currency, language, neighbour, landlocked or dialing code. Places — 34,000 cities, any airport code, or raw coordinates: position in decimal and DMS, country, time zone with the local time now, optional elevation; the great-circle distance in km, miles and nautical miles between two places with initial bearing, compass direction, midpoint, a rough flight time and the time-zone gap; what is at a coordinate (street to country via OpenStreetMap, plus elevation and the nearest city); 6,000 airports by IATA/ICAO code or name, or the nearest to a place with distance and direction; and conversion between decimal and degrees-minutes-seconds. Keyless, nothing stored.

Atlas bundles the reference tables so most answers are instant and identical every time, and reaches out only for figures that change (World Bank indicators), elevation and reverse geocoding.
All 250 countries and territories (mledoze/countries): official and native names, capital, region and subregion, currencies with symbols, languages, calling code, TLD, area, neighbours, landlocked flag, demonym, flag emoji and the name in 17 languages. 34,148 places (GeoNames cities ≥ 15,000) with coordinates, country, region and IANA time zone. 6,145 airports (OurAirports: all large and medium airports plus small ones with scheduled service) with IATA/ICAO codes, coordinates, elevation and city.
World Bank Open Data for 22 named indicators (population, GDP, GDP per capita, growth, life expectancy, inflation, unemployment, urbanisation, internet use, literacy, CO₂ per capita, fertility, forest cover, electricity access, Gini, military and health spending, mobile subscriptions, poverty, renewables) or any raw code, as latest values or series; Open-Meteo's elevation service (Copernicus 90 m DEM); and OpenStreetMap's Nominatim for "what is at this coordinate".
Distances are great-circle, not road or sea routes; flight times are a rule of thumb. Atlas has no routing, traffic or maps of its own, and no live geopolitical status beyond the bundled dataset's ISO assignments.
country — A country's facts: official name, capital, region, currencies, languages, calling code, TLD, area, neighbours, flag, demonym, native and translated names, plus the latest World Bank figures (population, GDP, GDP per capita, life expectancy by default; ask for others). Use for "tell me about Ghana", "what currency does Vietnam use", "GDP of Brazil". Args: name, indicators.
country_indicator — A World Bank indicator for a country over recent years — population, GDP, growth, inflation, life expectancy, CO₂, internet use and 15 more — as a year-by-year series with the change over the period. Use for "how has India's population grown in 10 years", "Brazil's inflation history", "Kenya's internet use over time". Args: name, indicator, years.
countries — Countries matching filters — by region/subregion, currency, language, neighbour, landlocked or dialing code — with capital, ISO codes and flag. Use for "which countries use the euro", "Portuguese-speaking countries", "who borders Germany", "landlocked countries in Africa", "whose dialing code is +44". Args: region, currency, language, borders, landlocked, calling_code.
place — Locate a place: coordinates (decimal and DMS), country and region, time zone with current local time, population (for cities), nearest big city (for coordinates or airports), and optionally elevation. Use for "where is Timbuktu", "coordinates of Denver", "what time zone is Perth in", "how high is Lhasa". Args: query, elevation.
distance — Great-circle distance between two places (km, miles, nautical miles), initial bearing and compass direction, the midpoint, a rough non-stop flight time, and the time-zone difference. Use for "how far is Denver from Tokyo", "which direction is Mecca from here", "flight time London to Singapore". Args: from_place, to_place.
whats_here — What is at a coordinate: the nearest address/town/region/country (OpenStreetMap reverse geocoding), the nearest big city with distance, elevation, and the time zone. Use for "what's at 27.98, 86.92", "which country is this point in", "reverse geocode these coordinates". Args: coordinates.
airports — Airports: look one up by IATA/ICAO code or name (with coordinates, elevation, country/region, city, scheduled service, Wikipedia), or list the nearest airports to a place with distance and direction. 6,000 airports with scheduled service or of medium/large size. Use for "what airport is LHR", "airports near Munich", "nearest major airport to Santa Fe". Args: query, near, large_only, limit.
convert_coordinates — Convert coordinates between decimal degrees and degrees-minutes-seconds, with hemisphere, a map link and the nearest city. Local, instant. Use for "what is 40°42′N 74°00′W in decimal", "DMS for 51.5, -0.12". Args: coordinates.

What Atlas is. Atlas is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for world geography: country facts and indicators, places and coordinates, distances, elevation, reverse geocoding and airports. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the specific request needed: a country, a place name or a coordinate pair.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Coordinates. A coordinate you ask about is used to compute the answer and, for elevation or "what's here", sent to the provider named below; it is not stored and not linked to you. Do not send coordinates you consider private (a home address) unless you are comfortable with that lookup.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, device location or credentials for any service. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. Country, place and airport lookups are answered from data bundled on our server. We send a country code to the World Bank API for indicators, a coordinate to Open-Meteo for elevation and to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim for reverse geocoding, and a place name to Open-Meteo's geocoder when it is not in our bundled gazetteer — never anything about you. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Atlas is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
