What Freshservice On-call and CAB (BYOK) is for

Freshservice On-call and CAB (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Freshservice On-call and CAB data through the Freshservice On-call and CAB API with a key you supply (Freshservice API key). Read-only: 5 tools (list_oncall_schedules, list_escalation_policies, list_cabs, list_pir_templates, list_custom_objects). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.freshservice.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Freshservice On-call and CAB. Freshservice On-call and CAB and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which on-call schedules exist in Freshservice?"
  • "How does the Freshservice database on-call schedule escalate?"
  • "Which change advisory boards does Freshservice have?"
  • "Which post-incident report templates exist in Freshservice?"
  • "Which custom objects are defined in Freshservice?"

What it does

  • list_oncall_schedules: List the on-call schedules of a workspace with name, description and the agent group each belongs to. Needs the View On-call schedules privilege.
  • list_escalation_policies: List the escalation policies of one on-call schedule with name, status, repeat count, rank and shift ids. Notified people are not returned.
  • list_cabs: List change advisory boards (CABs) with name and description. Member lists are not returned.
  • list_pir_templates: List post-incident report templates with title, state, whether primary and workspace.
  • list_custom_objects: List custom object definitions (extra data tables) with title, description, last update and workspace. Records and the last editor are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own Freshservice On-call and CAB Freshservice API key (https://api.freshservice.com/#authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.freshservice.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Freshservice On-call and CAB API (*.freshservice.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://api.freshservice.com/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not
