What Kustomer (BYOK) is for

Kustomer (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Kustomer data through the Kustomer API with a key you supply (Kustomer API key (Settings > Security > API Keys)). Read-only: 11 tools (list_customers, get_customer, list_conversations, list_customer_conversations, list_conversation_messages, list_companies, list_users, list_teams, list_brands, list_queues, list_knowledge_base_tags). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.kustomerapp.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kustomer. Kustomer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Kustomer customers were created this month?"
  • "Show Kustomer customer 5f1c..."
  • "Which Kustomer conversations are open?"
  • "What conversations has this Kustomer customer had?"
  • "What was said in this Kustomer conversation?"
  • "Which companies are in Kustomer?"

What it does

  • list_customers: List Kustomer customers with name, email addresses, tags, conversation counts and activity dates; can filter by creation or update date.
  • get_customer: Get one Kustomer customer by id with name, email addresses, tags, conversation counts and activity dates.
  • list_conversations: List Kustomer conversations with status, channels, direction, message and note counts, satisfaction score, tags, assignees and the customer id.
  • list_customer_conversations: List the Kustomer conversations of one customer.
  • list_conversation_messages: List the messages of one Kustomer conversation with channel, direction, a text preview, status and send time.
  • list_companies: List Kustomer companies with name, external id, tags and dates.
  • list_users: List Kustomer users (agents) with name, email, user type and roles.
  • list_teams: List Kustomer teams with name and members.
  • list_brands: List the brands of your Kustomer organization.
  • list_queues: List Kustomer routing queues with name, priority and description.
  • list_knowledge_base_tags: List the knowledge base tags of Kustomer, optionally by name.

BYOK key

You bring your own Kustomer Kustomer API key (Settings > Security > API Keys) (https://help.kustomer.com/api-keys-SJs5YTIWX). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.kustomerapp.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Kustomer API (api.kustomerapp.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developer.kustomer.com/kustomer-api-docs/reference/getcustomers. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Kustomer. Kustomer and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Kustomer account.
