What Pleo (BYOK) is for

Pleo (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Pleo data through the Pleo API with a key you supply (Pleo Standalone API key (enabled on request by Pleo)). Read-only: 6 tools (list_companies, search_accounting_entries, search_vendors, search_chart_of_accounts, search_tax_codes, list_export_jobs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to external.pleo.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pleo. Pleo and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which companies are in my Pleo organisation?"
  • "What expenses were recorded in Pleo last month and which are still unexported?"
  • "Which vendors do we have in Pleo?"
  • "Show the Pleo chart of accounts for my company."
  • "Which tax codes are configured in Pleo?"
  • "Did the last Pleo accounting exports succeed?"

What it does

  • list_companies: List the companies of a Pleo organisation with name and registration number.
  • search_accounting_entries: Search expense accounting entries (card spend, reimbursements) with date, family, status, export and review status, account, tax code, team and amounts. Read-only query despite POST.
  • search_vendors: Search vendors by name with code, country, accounting system and company. Read-only query despite POST.
  • search_chart_of_accounts: Search the chart of accounts of a company: code, name, archived flag and linked tax code. Read-only query despite POST.
  • search_tax_codes: Search tax codes of a company (the type filter is inclusive, exclusive or reverse). Read-only query despite POST.
  • list_export_jobs: List accounting export jobs of a company with status, target system, item count and times.

BYOK key

You bring your own Pleo Pleo Standalone API key (enabled on request by Pleo) (https://developers.pleo.io/docs/current/how-tos/api-keys/how-to-generate-standalone-api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to external.pleo.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Pleo API (external.pleo.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.pleo.io/docs/current/authentication/standalone-api-keys-overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pleo. Pleo and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Pleo account.
