What Pylon (BYOK) is for
Pylon (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Pylon data through the Pylon API with a key you supply (API token (US region; EU tenants use api.eu.usepylon.com and are not supported)). Read-only: 12 tools (get_me, list_issues, get_issue, list_issue_statuses, list_accounts, get_account, list_teams, list_tags, list_surveys, list_survey_responses, list_knowledge_bases, list_kb_articles). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.usepylon.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pylon. Pylon and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Pylon organization is my token connected to?"
- "Which Pylon issues were created in the last week?"
- "Show me Pylon issue 1234"
- "What statuses can a Pylon issue have?"
- "Which customer accounts are in Pylon?"
- "Show me the Pylon account with external id acme-corp"
What it does
get_me: Show the Pylon organization and API user the token belongs to; a quick way to check the token works.list_issues: List support issues created inside a time window (at most 365 days wide), newest first, with state, source, tags and assignee. Cursor paging.get_issue: Get one issue by its id or its issue number, with state, tags, assignee, requester, account and timing fields.list_issue_statuses: List the issue statuses of the organization; the slug is the value used as an issue state.list_accounts: List customer accounts with name, primary domain, type, tags and last customer activity. Cursor paging.get_account: Get one customer account by its Pylon id or your own external id.list_teams: List support teams with their ids and names.list_tags: List tags with their values and the object type they apply to. Cursor paging.list_surveys: List the customer surveys of the organization.list_survey_responses: List responses to one survey, optionally limited to a submission time window. Cursor paging.list_knowledge_bases: List the knowledge bases with title, slug and languages. Cursor paging.list_kb_articles: List articles of one knowledge base with title, URL, publication state and last edit time (article bodies are not returned). Cursor paging.
BYOK key
You bring your own Pylon API token (US region; EU tenants use api.eu.usepylon.com and are not supported) (https://docs.usepylon.com/pylon-docs/developer/api/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.usepylon.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Pylon.
