What Zammad (BYOK) is for

Zammad (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Zammad data through the Zammad API with a key you supply (Zammad API access token (profile > Token Access)). Read-only: 10 tools (list_tickets, get_ticket, search_tickets, list_ticket_articles, list_users, search_users, list_organizations, list_groups, list_ticket_states, list_ticket_priorities). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to *.zammad.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Zammad. Zammad and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Show my newest Zammad tickets"
  • "Show Zammad ticket 12"
  • "Which Zammad tickets are open and mention refund?"
  • "What was said in Zammad ticket 12?"
  • "Who are the users in Zammad?"
  • "Find the Zammad user jane@example.com"

What it does

  • list_tickets: List Zammad tickets visible to the token's user with title, state, priority, group, owner, customer and dates. Ids are numeric; use list_ticket_states and list_ticket_priorities to translate them or set expand.
  • get_ticket: Get one Zammad ticket by numeric id with state, priority, owner, customer, group and escalation dates.
  • search_tickets: Search Zammad tickets with the search syntax (free text or fields such as state.name:open, customer.email:x, tags:vip). Returns matching tickets, 10 per page unless per_page is set.
  • list_ticket_articles: List the articles (messages, notes) of a Zammad ticket with sender, subject, body and time.
  • list_users: List Zammad users (agents and customers) with name, email, organization and active flag; needs the agent or admin permission.
  • search_users: Search Zammad users by name, email or organization with the search syntax.
  • list_organizations: List Zammad organizations with name, domain, VIP and shared flags and member ids.
  • list_groups: List Zammad groups with name, active flag and member ids; needs the admin permission.
  • list_ticket_states: List Zammad ticket states (new, open, pending, closed ...) with their ids.
  • list_ticket_priorities: List Zammad ticket priorities with their ids.

BYOK key

You bring your own Zammad Zammad API access token (profile > Token Access) (https://docs.zammad.org/en/latest/api/user-access-token.html). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to *.zammad.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Zammad API (*.zammad.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.zammad.org/en/latest/api/intro.html. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Zammad. Zammad and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Zammad account.
