Cosmos — Terms of Service

Effective 23 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Cosmos connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Cosmos returns space and astronomy information — NASA imagery, exoplanets, asteroids and comets, stars and deep-sky objects, space weather and solar activity, spaceflight news and astronaut records — from public sources. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Sources and licences. NASA imagery and data are generally in the public domain (NASA media guidelines apply; some items carry third-party rights noted in their metadata); exoplanet data from the NASA Exoplanet Archive (acknowledge the archive when publishing); small-body data from NASA/JPL; SIMBAD data from CDS Strasbourg (cite SIMBAD in publications); space-weather products from NOAA (public domain); news headlines and summaries from the Spaceflight News API, with articles belonging to their publishers; astronaut records from Launch Library 2 under The Space Devs' terms. Names, images and trademarks belong to their owners.
  3. Accuracy. Forecasts are NOAA's and change hourly; orbital predictions carry the uncertainties JPL reports; catalogue values are the sources' current best estimates. The Service is for information and curiosity, not for spacecraft operations, aviation or power-grid decisions.
  4. Acceptable use. Do not use the Service to bulk-scrape the sources or to circumvent rate limits. Automated use within the published limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is forwarded and nothing is stored.
  7. Attribution. NASA; NASA Exoplanet Archive; NASA/JPL; SIMBAD/CDS; NOAA SWPC; Spaceflight News API; The Space Devs.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
