Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
debate_format_referencedebate_format_referenceargument_outline_builderrebuttal_technique_referencetoulmin_model_referenceDebatePrep is a debate-format and argument-structure reference, computed locally. debate_format_reference gives real speech order and time limits for Lincoln-Douglas (LD), Policy/Cross-Examination (CX), Public Forum (PF), and Parliamentary (British Parliamentary style) debate, including each speech's minutes, the round's total speech time, prep time per side, and a note on circuit variation. argument_outline_builder takes your claim and returns a claim/warrant/evidence/impact structural shell (a debate-classroom simplification of Toulmin's model) for you to fill in with real research - it never fabricates evidence. rebuttal_technique_reference explains turn, mitigate, outweigh, no link, and concede-and-reframe, each with a worked example. toulmin_model_reference explains the full six-part Toulmin model. Keyless; zero upstream calls; nothing submitted is stored.

Extemporaneous-speaking practice prompts, prep-time structuring, and outline templates
A world-geography quiz generator with real bordering/same-region distractor logic
A genuinely global world-history reference — timeline queries, eras, and cause-and-effect notes
Grade-appropriate project ideas with a real hypothesis, variables, and procedure for each one
Algebra, geometry, and trig practice for grades 7-12 and adults, every answer genuinely computed
Structural facts and frameworks for competitive and classroom debate — "what's the speech order in Lincoln-Douglas", "how do I structure an argument", "what's a 'turn'" — answered locally from hand-curated reference content on widely documented formats and argumentation theory.
debate_format_reference gives the real speech order and time limits for four common debate formats:
Lincoln-Douglas (LD, one-on-one), Policy/Cross-Examination (CX, two-on-two), Public Forum (PF, two-on-two),
and Parliamentary (British Parliamentary style, four teams of two) — each speech's name and minutes, the
round's total speech time, prep time per side, and a note on how conventions vary by circuit and level.
argument_outline_builder takes a claim you want to argue and returns a structural outline shell using the
claim/warrant/evidence/impact framework — a debate-classroom simplification of philosopher Stephen Toulmin's
model of argumentation — for you to fill in with your own real research; it deliberately leaves the warrant,
evidence, and impact fields blank rather than generating content, because a fabricated "AI-written" argument
presented as fact would defeat the purpose of a debate exercise. rebuttal_technique_reference explains
common rebuttal techniques — turn, mitigate, outweigh, no link, and concede-and-reframe — each with a
definition, a worked example, and when to use it. toulmin_model_reference explains the full six-part
Toulmin model (claim, grounds, warrant, backing, qualifier, rebuttal) and how debate classrooms commonly
simplify it to four parts.
Debate format time limits are not universal — they vary by country, circuit, and competition level. Every
format entry includes a variation_note naming the specific ways real circuits diverge from the convention
shown (for example, American school/college parliamentary debate uses two-team formats quite different from
the four-team British Parliamentary style shown here). Treat these as widely used reference conventions, not
as the official rules of any specific tournament.
Not a fact generator for a specific debate topic — argument_outline_builder never invents a statistic, a
study, or a quote to fill in your argument; that research is yours to do and cite honestly. Not official
rules for any tournament or league. It never calls any outside service or database — everything is bundled
with the server, and nothing you submit is stored or logged.

What DebatePrep is. DebatePrep is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local debate-format and argument-structure reference: format facts, an argument outline builder, a rebuttal technique reference, and the Toulmin model. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one tool call.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — which may include a debate format name, a claim or topic you want an outline shell for, or a rebuttal technique name — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
We do not store, log, or retain the content of your queries. Every tool reads from a reference dataset bundled with the server and generates a result from your arguments — nothing about a specific claim, topic, or lookup is written to a database, written to a request log, cached, or used to train anything. Request bodies are not logged.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps, never the request content) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — there is no upstream call at all; every tool reads from a reference file bundled with the server. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived, content-free logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. DebatePrep is a general-audience educational reference service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

argument_outline_builder returns a structural shell only — it never
