IMF World Economic Outlook (190+ economies, 1980 to projections): a country snapshot (GDP growth, inflation, unemployment, GDP in USD and per capita in USD and PPP, government debt and balance, current account, population); any WEO indicator for several countries over a year range; rankings (highest or lowest, with a population floor to exclude micro-states); side-by-side comparisons for a year. World Bank World Development Indicators: 400+ measures by name or code — life expectancy, internet users, CO2, poverty, Gini, literacy, fertility, trade, FDI, military spending and more — with suggestions when a name does not match. Eurostat: seasonally adjusted unemployment and youth unemployment, HICP and core inflation, GDP growth (year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter), house prices, population, government debt, minimum wages and household electricity prices for EU/EEA countries, the euro area and the EU, with provisional/estimate flags. Open data: search data.gov.uk and data.europa.eu and fetch a data.gov.uk dataset's resources. U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics: unemployment, CPI (with year-on-year inflation computed), nonfarm payrolls, earnings, participation, job openings, PPI, productivity.
Projections are the IMF's, not forecasts by us; values for the current year and beyond are flagged. Series definitions differ between sources (IMF average CPI vs Eurostat HICP vs BLS CPI-U), so compare like with like. The U.S. Census API now requires a key and is not included; BLS's keyless quota is 25 requests a day per server IP (an operator key raises it to 500). Econ gives statistics, not investment advice.

What Econ is. Econ is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for economic and social statistics from the IMF, World Bank, Eurostat, open-data portals and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the country, indicator, year, search words or dataset id needed for the lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call (country names, indicator names, years, search words, a dataset id), the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Lookups are forwarded, not stored. Queries are passed to the statistical sources below and the answer is returned to your assistant. We do not record what you ask about or build a profile. Nothing you send is stored, logged in request bodies or used to train anything. Successful upstream answers are cached in memory for one hour (portal searches) to seven days (reference lists), keyed by the query, to reduce load on the sources.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts or any account credentials. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. International Monetary Fund (imf.org DataMapper), World Bank (api.worldbank.org), Eurostat (ec.europa.eu), data.gov.uk (UK Government Digital Service), Publications Office of the EU (data.europa.eu) and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (api.bls.gov). Each receives the query and our server's IP address, never yours. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Econ is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
Effective 23 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Econ connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").
