About

Friend Kit is a fully local, hand-curated friendship/social-skills tips reference. tips_by_category returns practical tips for one of six categories (making_new_friends, maintaining_friendships, deepening_friendships, boundaries, moving_to_a_new_place, letting_a_friendship_fade); tip_search does a keyword search; category_list shows all six with counts; random_tip gives one random pick. friendship_activity_ideas gives platonic hangout ideas that support building friendship. making_first_move_guide covers how to ask, handling a no, being the usual initiator, and keeping a new hangout low-pressure. adult_friendship_challenges_guide is a dedicated, normalizing guide on why making close friends as an adult is commonly reported as harder, and what actually helps. friendship_glossary defines terms like third place, reciprocity, social battery, and friendship drift. self_check_prompts gives non-clinical reflection questions about a friendship's balance and quality. These are general, practical, non-clinical tips — not therapy or a professional social-skills assessment. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

Sources: Hand-curated from widely-cited, commonly-discussed general practice around adult friendship and social connection; entirely non-clinical. Fully local, zero upstream calls.

What Friend Kit is for

"Why does making friends as an adult feel so much harder than it used to?" — a fully local, practical, non-clinical reference on making and keeping friendships going.

What it does

tips_by_category returns practical tips for one of six categories — making new friends, maintaining friendships, deepening friendships, boundaries, moving to a new place, and letting a friendship fade gracefully. tip_search finds tips by keyword; category_list shows all six with counts; random_tip gives one random pick. friendship_activity_ideas gives platonic hangout ideas that support building or deepening a friendship — recurring, low-key activities tend to work best. making_first_move_guide covers how to ask someone to hang out, handling a "can't make it" gracefully, understanding why you might usually be the one initiating, and keeping a new hangout low-pressure. adult_friendship_challenges_guide is a dedicated, normalizing guide on why making close friends as an adult is one of the most commonly reported social experiences, and what actually helps. friendship_glossary defines commonly-used terms — third place, reciprocity, social battery, friendship drift, and more. self_check_prompts gives non-clinical, open-ended reflection questions about a friendship's balance and quality.

What it is not

Not therapy, counseling, or a professional social-skills assessment, and not a diagnostic tool of any kind. It doesn't tell anyone whether they have a social skills deficit or a mental-health condition — it offers general, practical, widely-discussed tips that anyone can try and adapt to their own circumstances and personality.

Privacy policy

Friend Kit — Privacy Policy

Effective 26 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Friend Kit is. Friend Kit is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local friendship/social-skills tips reference — tips by category, activity ideas, a first-move guide, a glossary, and self-check reflection prompts. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a category, a search keyword, or a count — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from bundled, hand-curated content and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, or any detail about your friends or friendships — the tool only ever sees a generic category or keyword. Each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire content bank is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Friend Kit is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
