About

Gujarati Phrases is a fully local, hand-curated everyday Gujarati phrasebook. phrase_search does a keyword search across the Gujarati text, transliteration and English meaning. phrases_by_category lists every phrase in one of eight categories (greetings, courtesy, family, food, directions, shopping, time, emergencies) -- categories_list shows them all with counts. greeting_for_context filters greetings by time of day (morning/evening/night) and/or formality (formal/informal/neutral). phrase_of_the_day returns one rotating daily pick. family_terms lists every kinship term. pronunciation_guide explains this connector's romanization conventions. basic_numbers gives a small 1-10 numbers list -- deep numeral coverage is intentionally out of scope. Phrase text is drawn from published phrasebook and vocabulary references, not invented. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls.

Sources: Gujarati-script phrase text drawn from omniglot.com, worksheetworld.com, learnentry.com and beread.org's published Gujarati vocabulary/phrasebook pages, verified as of build date; fully local, zero upstream calls

What Gujarati Phrases is for

The moment you need to actually say something in Gujarati — greet someone at the right time of day, ask a family member's relation, order food, ask directions, or handle an emergency — answered from one hand-curated, respectful phrasebook, without hunting across forum threads of varying reliability.

What it does

87 everyday Gujarati phrases and words across eight categories — greetings, courtesy, family, food, directions, shopping, time, and emergencies — each rendered in real Gujarati script with a romanized transliteration and an English meaning (phrase_search, phrases_by_category, categories_list); a context-aware greeting picker that filters by time of day and formality (greeting_for_context); a rotating daily phrase (phrase_of_the_day); every kinship term in one place (family_terms); a pronunciation guide to this connector's romanization conventions (pronunciation_guide); and a small 1-10 numbers list (basic_numbers).

What it is not

Not a substitute for a phrasebook built for a specific dialect region within Gujarat, and not a deep numeral reference — numbers beyond 1-10, place-value terms, and ordinals are intentionally out of scope here (a separate pan-India numbers connector covers that ground). Every phrase's Gujarati-script wording is drawn from a real published phrasebook or vocabulary source rather than generated from memory, and romanization is a simple, consistent practical transliteration rather than strict academic IAST. Gujarati is spoken across many faiths and regions of Gujarat and the wider diaspora. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.

Tools

Phrasebook

phrase_search — Keyword search across every phrase's Gujarati text, transliteration and English meaning. Use for "how do you say thank you in Gujarati", "find a phrase with 'bajaar' in it". Args: query.

phrases_by_category — Every phrase in one category. Use categories_list to see valid category names. Use for "Gujarati shopping phrases", "give me emergency phrases in Gujarati". Args: category.

categories_list — Every phrase category this reference covers, with how many phrases are tagged under each. Use for "what categories of Gujarati phrases do you have".

Everyday

greeting_for_context — Greetings and time-related phrases filtered by time of day and/or formality. Use for "what's a formal Gujarati greeting", "how do I say good morning in Gujarati". Args: time_of_day, formality.

family_terms — Every Gujarati kinship term — mother, father, sibling, in-laws, grandparents, cousin and more. Use for "Gujarati words for family members", "how do you say mother-in-law in Gujarati".

basic_numbers — A small 1-10 Gujarati numbers list, each with Gujarati script and transliteration. Deep numeral coverage (larger numbers, place-value terms, ordinals) is out of scope for this connector. Use for "Gujarati numbers 1 to 10", "how do you say seven in Gujarati". Args: number.

phrase_of_the_day — One Gujarati phrase, rotating daily by date. Use for "phrase of the day".

Reference

pronunciation_guide — This connector's romanization conventions explained — the long "aa" sound, aspirated "chh", the typically-long e/o vowels, nasalized word endings, and retroflex consonants. Use for "how do I pronounce Gujarati aa", "what does chh sound like".

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Gujarati Phrases — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Gujarati Phrases is. Gujarati Phrases is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated everyday Gujarati phrasebook — phrases, family terms, numbers, and a pronunciation guide. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a phrase, a category, a time of day or formality filter, or a number — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Gujarati Phrases is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Gujarati Phrases — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Gujarati Phrases connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Gujarati Phrases returns a hand-curated everyday Gujarati phrasebook — Gujarati script, transliteration and English meaning across greetings, courtesy, family, food, directions, shopping, time and emergencies, plus a small numbers list — from data curated and verified as of the build date stated in its own data. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. A reference, not a lesson. Gujarati Phrases is an independent phrasebook tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by any government, institution, or organization. It is not a substitute for a phrasebook built for a specific dialect region or for learning from an actual Gujarati speaker, and it does not cover numerals beyond 1-10.
  3. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  4. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  5. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from a bundled reference file, and nothing is stored.
  6. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  7. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  8. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
