Lexicon — Terms of Service

Effective 23 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Lexicon connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

The Service. Lexicon looks up words — definitions, pronunciation, thesaurus relations, rhymes, pattern and meaning searches, anagrams, spelling, etymology, names in other languages — and computes readability statistics. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
Sources. Definitions and etymologies come from Wiktionary (via the Free Dictionary API and Wikimedia APIs) and are community-written; word relations and rhymes from Datamuse; names in other languages from Wikipedia; the pattern and anagram word list is ENABLE (public domain). We do not control these sources and they may be incomplete or wrong.
Licences. Text derived from Wiktionary and Wikipedia is licensed CC BY-SA and must be attributed when republished. Datamuse results are provided for lookup use under Datamuse's terms.
Acceptable use. Do not use the Service to overwhelm the underlying services, to bulk-scrape dictionaries, or to circumvent rate limits. Automated use within the published limits is welcome.
Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your words are forwarded to the sources and nothing is stored.
Attribution. Free Dictionary API; Wiktionary and Wikipedia (Wikimedia Foundation, CC BY-SA); Datamuse; ENABLE word list.
Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
