True APR accounting for fees, amortization schedules, and offer ranking — all computed locally

Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
compare_loan_offerscompare_loan_offersamortization_scheduleamortization_scheduleloancompare_glossaryLoancompare puts loan-shopping math behind one connector, computed locally from the numbers you supply. Compare loan offers: for each of several offers (principal, nominal rate, term, optional upfront fees), computes the monthly payment, total interest, total cost, and true APR — the rate found by numeric root-finding that accounts for fees by discounting the loan's actual payments back to what the borrower actually receives, exactly matching the stated rate when fees are zero and exceeding it otherwise — then ranks every offer by both total cost and APR. Amortization schedule: a full month-by-month breakdown of interest, principal, and remaining balance for one loan, with an optional extra monthly payment applied straight to principal to see the exact payoff-date and interest savings. A glossary covers APR, the nominal rate, origination fees, amortization, principal, and points. General educational information, not financial or lending advice.
Sources: No external sources — every tool is arithmetic computed locally from the numbers the caller supplies; nothing fetched, nothing stored

"Compare a $20,000 loan at 6% with a $200 fee against 7% with no fee, both 60 months, which is actually cheaper", "what's the true APR on a $10,000 loan with a $300 origination fee", "amortization schedule for a $300,000 mortgage at 6.5% over 30 years", "how much sooner do I pay it off adding $100 extra a month" — the loan-shopping questions where the advertised rate alone doesn't tell you the real cost. Loancompare answers them with real computed math — no upstream calls, no accounts, nothing stored.
Compare loan offers. Given a list of loan offers (principal, nominal annual rate, term, optional upfront fees), computes each offer's monthly payment, total interest, total cost, and true APR — the rate that accounts for upfront fees by numerically solving for the discount rate that equates the loan's actual payments to the amount the borrower actually receives (principal minus fees), the same Truth-in-Lending-style calculation lenders are required to disclose. Offers are ranked by both total cost and APR — which can disagree when terms differ, since a lower-rate loan over a much longer term can still cost more overall.
Amortization schedule. A full month-by-month breakdown of interest, principal, and remaining balance for a single loan, with an optional extra monthly payment applied straight to principal to see exactly how much sooner the loan pays off and how much interest that saves.
Glossary. Plain-language definitions of APR, the nominal/stated interest rate, origination fees, amortization, principal, points, and total cost of a loan.
Not personalized financial or lending advice, and not a substitute for the actual loan estimate or disclosure a lender provides. Loancompare models a standard fixed-rate, fixed-term loan with a flat upfront fee; it does not model variable rates, prepayment penalties, balloon payments, mortgage insurance, escrow, or other real-world loan terms. True APR is solved numerically (bisection) to well beyond floating-point precision for any realistic loan, but it is still an approximation of the underlying continuous math, not a legal APR disclosure.

What Loancompare is. Loancompare is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for loan cost-comparison calculations: true APR, monthly payment, total interest, total cost, and amortization schedules. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers needed for that one calculation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — loan principal, interest rate, term, upfront fees, and any extra-payment amount, plus optional labels you choose for each offer (e.g. "Bank A") — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every calculation uses standard, published amortization and APR formulas computed from the numbers you provide; there are no upstream data sources or bundled rate tables to look anything up in, and Loancompare never contacts a lender, credit bureau, or any real loan offer on your behalf. No request is forwarded to any third party, and no query — including any loan amount, rate, or fee you enter — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, account or loan numbers, credit information, or any other identifying or account information, and we do not build a financial profile from your queries: each calculation is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Loancompare is a general-audience service for adults; we knowingly collect no personal data from anyone.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
