game_infosearch_gamesgames_by_categorycategory_listfind_game_for_groupcomplexity_glossarygame_night_pickersimilar_gamesMeeple is a fully local, hand-curated board & tabletop game finder and rules-overview reference. game_info gives one game's full detail: player-count range, typical duration, a 1-5 complexity rating with label, category tags, mechanisms and an original plain-language description of how it plays. search_games searches by keyword across name, aliases, categories, mechanisms and theme; games_by_category lists every game tagged with one of seven categories (strategy, party, family, cooperative, abstract, economic, deck-building), and category_list shows them all with counts. find_game_for_group suggests games that support a given player count, optionally weighted toward a target session length and complexity level. game_night_picker is a more opinionated version for a specific game night — give it a player count and, optionally, time available and a mood (chill, competitive, brainy, silly, cooperative) and it returns a short ranked shortlist with a one-line reason for each pick. similar_games finds other games sharing categories, mechanisms and a comparable complexity level with a named game. complexity_glossary defines board-gaming terms — weight, gateway game, eurogame, ameritrash, worker placement, deck-building, engine-building, area control, drafting, push your luck, hidden role — plus the 1-5 complexity scale itself. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

game_info — Full detail for one game: player-count range, typical duration, a 1-5 complexity rating with label, category tags, mechanisms, and an original plain-language description of how it plays. Use for "how does Wingspan play", "how many people can play Codenames". Args: name.
search_games — Keyword search across every game's name, aliases, categories, mechanisms, theme and description. Use for "any games about space", "something with bluffing in it", "two-player abstract games". Args: query.
games_by_category — Every game tagged with one category. Use category_list to see valid category names. Use for "list every cooperative game you have", "what party games do you know". Args: category.
category_list — Every game category with how many games are tagged with it. Use for "what categories of games do you cover".

game_night_picker — A more opinionated pick for a specific game night: give it your player count and, optionally, the time you have and a mood, and it returns a short ranked shortlist (default 3) with a one-line reason for each pick. Use for "pick something for game night, 6 people, an hour, feeling competitive". Args: player_count, time_available, mood.
similar_games — Finds other games that share categories, mechanisms and a comparable complexity level with a named game. Use for "something like Catan but shorter", "what else is like Pandemic". Args: name, limit.

Use for "what does 'worker placement' mean", "what's the difference between a eurogame and ameritrash". Args: term.

What Meeple is. Meeple is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated board & tabletop game finder — 50+ games with player counts, playtime and complexity. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Meeple is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
