phrase_searchphrases_by_categorygreeting_for_contextphrase_of_the_dayfamily_termspronunciation_guidecategories_listOdia Phrases is a fully local, hand-curated everyday Odia (Oriya) phrasebook of 77 entries. phrase_search searches by keyword across the Odia text, transliteration, and English meaning. phrases_by_category lists every phrase in one of nine categories (greetings, courtesy, family, food, directions, shopping, time, emergencies, numbers); categories_list shows them all with counts. greeting_for_context suggests a greeting for a stated time of day. phrase_of_the_day returns one phrase, stable for the day. family_terms lists every kinship word. pronunciation_guide gives short notes on Odia sounds that don't map cleanly onto English spelling (retroflex consonants, the inherent vowel, nasalization, stress). Numbers here are a small 1-10 basics list; deeper numeral coverage lives in a separate pan-India connector. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls.

77 hand-curated everyday Odia (Oriya) phrases and words across nine categories — greetings, courtesy, family,
food, directions, shopping, time, emergencies, and a small 1-10 numbers list — each given in real Odia
script, romanized transliteration, and English meaning (phrase_search, phrases_by_category,
categories_list). A context-aware greeting suggestion, a phrase of the day, a dedicated family-terms
lookup, and a short pronunciation guide to Odia sounds that don't map cleanly onto English spelling round it
out (greeting_for_context, phrase_of_the_day, family_terms, pronunciation_guide).
Every phrase's Odia-script text was checked against at least one independent public source: omniglot.com's Odia phrase and numbers pages, the English Wikipedia article on Odia numerals, and talkpal.ai's articles on Odia directions/location and family-relationship vocabulary. A general Odia phrase-learning aggregator (easyhindityping.com) was used only where it overlapped with and was corroborated by one of those other sources.
Not a complete grammar or deep phrasebook — it covers the everyday basics a traveler or learner would reach for first, not every possible sentence. Numbers here are a small 1-10 basics list only; deeper numeral coverage across Indian languages (place values, ordinals) lives in a separate pan-India numbers connector, to avoid duplicating that scope. Odia is spoken across many faiths and regions of Odisha and beyond; nothing here assumes one community's customs. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.

What Odia Phrases is. Odia Phrases is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated Odia (Oriya) phrasebook: everyday phrases, categories, greetings, family terms, and pronunciation notes. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a phrase, a category, a time of day, or a pronunciation topic — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Odia Phrases is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
