About

Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker validates and decodes the EMV merchant-presented layout that QR Ph builds on. validate_qrph checks the structure, the field length limits and the CRC-16 of a pasted string and warns when the currency is not 608 (PHP) or the country is not PH. parse_qrph decodes merchant name, city, category code, amount, additional data and lists every merchant account template with its GUI, without interpreting the QR Ph-specific sub-fields, because the QR Ph technical layout could not be read from a primary source. qrph_field_guide explains the generic EMV tags. qrph_rules_summary quotes what the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas FAQ says: QR Ph launched in November 2019 by PPMI under BSP guidance, BSP Circular No. 1055 requires payment service providers to adopt it, it is aligned with the EMVCo standard, merchants print the code that their bank or e-money issuer generates, customers pay no fee, and P2M payments settle through InstaPay. qrph_crc_check computes the CRC-16 of a payload body. The EMV rules and the CRC come from EMVCo through the railqr library. Nothing is sent, paid or stored.

What Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker is for

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "A customer sent me this QR Ph text: is it a valid payload and who is the merchant?"
  • "What does BSP require of banks and e-wallets about QR Ph?"
  • "Do my customers pay a fee when they pay me with QR Ph?"
  • "What do the tags of a QR Ph code mean?"
  • "What CRC goes at the end of this payload?"

What it does

  • validate_qrph: Check a pasted QR Ph payload at the EMV level: structure, field length limits, CRC-16, currency 608 and country PH; lists errors and warnings; QR Ph-specific templates are listed but not judged.
  • parse_qrph: Decode a QR Ph payload into merchant name, city, category code, amount, currency, country, additional data and the list of merchant account templates (tag and GUI) without interpreting their QR Ph sub-fields.
  • qrph_field_guide: Explain the generic EMV tags used in a QR Ph payload and say which parts (the QR Ph merchant account template) are not documented here.
  • qrph_rules_summary: What the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas QR Ph FAQ says: launch, BSP Circular No. 1055, EMVCo alignment, who generates the merchant code, customer fees and InstaPay settlement, each with the quoted sentence.
  • qrph_crc_check: Compute the CRC-16/CCITT-FALSE of a payload body that ends with 6304 and, when a full payload is given, compare it with the CRC it carries.

Data sources

Reference data from official sources (bsp.gov.ph, emvco.com); every answer states its source, date and validity period.

What it is not

Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker is independent; not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government body, central bank, standards body or scheme operator. Names of rails, schemes and standards are used only to say what a tool works with. It is read-only: it never sends, pays, files or signs anything for you, and it never looks up private individuals.

Not advice. General information only, not legal, tax, accounting or payment advice. Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker is an independent tool: it is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by any government body, central bank, standards body or scheme operator. Rates, thresholds and rules change; check the cited official source and confirm with a qualified professional before you rely on a result.

Tools

Look up & validate

validate_qrph — Check a pasted QR Ph payload at the EMV level: structure, field length limits, CRC-16, currency 608 and country PH; lists errors and warnings; QR Ph-specific templates are listed but not judged. Use for "Is this QR Ph text a valid EMV payload and is the CRC right?". Args: payload.

Build & format

parse_qrph — Decode a QR Ph payload into merchant name, city, category code, amount, currency, country, additional data and the list of merchant account templates (tag and GUI) without interpreting their QR Ph sub-fields. Use for "Which merchant does this QR Ph code show and how much does it ask?". Args: payload.

Reference & guides

qrph_field_guide — Explain the generic EMV tags used in a QR Ph payload and say which parts (the QR Ph merchant account template) are not documented here. Use for "What do the tags of a QR Ph code mean?". Args: tag.

qrph_rules_summary — What the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas QR Ph FAQ says: launch, BSP Circular No. 1055, EMVCo alignment, who generates the merchant code, customer fees and InstaPay settlement, each with the quoted sentence. Use for "What are the rules behind QR Ph for a small merchant?".

qrph_crc_check — Compute the CRC-16/CCITT-FALSE of a payload body that ends with 6304 and, when a full payload is given, compare it with the CRC it carries. Use for "What CRC should go at the end of this QR Ph payload?". Args: payload.

Conventions

  • Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
  • Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
  • Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Privacy policy

Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker — Privacy Policy

Effective 29 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker is. Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants call on your behalf: Check and decode QR Ph merchant payloads at the EMV level (structure, field limits, CRC-16, PHP and PH values) and read what the BSP FAQ says about QR Ph; the QR Ph template layout itself is not covered. You talk to your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one request.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Nothing is stored. Every tool is a local calculation or a lookup against bundled reference data; no request is forwarded to any third party. Arguments are used for that one response and are not logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts or account credentials, and we build no profile: each request is answered independently. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting access logs (IP addresses and request paths, not request bodies) are kept for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Your rights. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information.

Children. Philippines QR Ph Payload Checker is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
