The question that comes up when traditional and popular Arab sports get specific — how does camel racing actually work, did it really switch to robot jockeys, which Arab country hosted the World Cup, what is dhow racing, what is tahtib — answered from one hand-curated reference, without a scroll through inconsistent blog posts or fan forums.
A description, history and basic format for six traditional and heritage sports — camel racing, horse racing
heritage, dhow/traditional sailing racing, falconry as a sport, Sudanese Nuba wrestling, and the Egyptian
tahtib stick game (traditional_sport_info); search across sports, glossary terms and football-culture
country notes by keyword (sport_search); a deep dive on camel racing's history, race format, and the
well-documented shift since the mid-2000s to remote-controlled robot jockeys, which replaced human child
jockeys (camel_racing_guide); a brief overview of Arabian-horse racing heritage and modern Gulf thoroughbred
racing (horse_racing_heritage_info); factual notes on football's popularity, league names and club/fan
culture by country, without ranking any club or team (football_culture_info); factual Arab hosting and
participation history in the FIFA World Cup, AFC Asian Cup, FIFA Arab Cup and Africa Cup of Nations, framed
neutrally (major_tournament_history_info); traditional Gulf dhow sailing racing, including the annual Al
Gaffal race (dhow_racing_guide); a factual, non-editorializing note on the region's growth in hosting major
recurring sports events — Formula 1, horse racing, tennis (modern_sports_landscape_info); and a glossary of
sport-specific terms — hijin, midmar, furusiyya, robot jockey, mazayin, and more (sport_glossary).
Not a live scores or fixtures service, a betting or odds tool, or a ranking of any team, club, player or
nation — football_culture_info and major_tournament_history_info state hosting and participation facts
neutrally and never declare a "best" team or country. Falconry is covered here only briefly, as a sport, by
design — see the dedicated turath connector for falconry's full heritage treatment (UNESCO listing, history,
equipment terms). Horse racing heritage is likewise covered only briefly — the planned ansab connector will
treat Arabian-horse breed and heritage content in depth. All content is a hand-curated reference as of its
stated build date, not a live scores feed — for anything from a current season or a very recent match or
fixture, check an official source.
traditional_sport_info — One traditional or heritage sport's description, history and basic format — falconry as a sport, camel racing, horse racing heritage, dhow/traditional sailing racing, Sudanese Nuba wrestling, and the Egyptian tahtib stick game. Use for "what is tahtib", "tell me about Nuba wrestling", "is falconry a sport". Args: name.
sport_search — Search traditional sports, glossary terms and football-culture country notes by partial name, alias, region or keyword. Use for "sports involving camels", "which country hosted the Asian Cup". Args: query.

camel_racing_guide — A deep dive on camel racing: history, race format and classes, the well-documented shift since the mid-2000s to remote-controlled robot jockeys (which replaced human child jockeys), and the Gulf regions where it is practiced today. Use for "how does camel racing work", "why do camels have robot jockeys", "when did camel racing switch to robots".
horse_racing_heritage_info — A brief factual overview of Arabian-horse racing heritage — the furusiyya horsemanship tradition — and modern Gulf thoroughbred racing (Dubai's Meydan/Dubai World Cup, Saudi Arabia's Saudi Cup). The planned ansab connector will cover Arabian-horse breed and heritage content in depth. Use for "what is furusiyya", "is horse racing popular in the Gulf".
football_culture_info — Factual notes on football's (soccer's) popularity, top-league names and club/fan culture by country — league names, historical tournament hosting, and notable participation facts. major_tournament_history_info — Factual notes on Arab nations hosting and participating in major football tournaments — the FIFA World Cup (Qatar 2022, the first Arab/Middle Eastern host; Saudi Arabia confirmed for 2034), the AFC Asian Cup, the FIFA Arab Cup, and the Africa Cup of Nations — framed as neutral historical record, never as a ranking of any team or nation. Use for "which Arab country hosted the World Cup", "has Qatar hosted the Asian Cup".
modern_sports_landscape_info — A factual, non-editorializing note on the growth of sports investment and major recurring events across the Arab world — Formula 1 races, horse-racing meetings, tennis tournaments and camel festivals — naming the events without commentary on the reasons behind the investment. What Riyada (Sport) is. Riyada (Sport) is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated reference on traditional and popular sports across the Arab world — traditional-sport profiles, camel-racing history and format, horse-racing heritage, football culture by country, major-tournament hosting history, dhow racing, the modern sports landscape, and a glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a sport name, a search query, a country name, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Riyada (Sport) is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
