About

Roommatefit is an original, hand-written roommate-compatibility questionnaire generator. generate_questionnaire builds a custom set from one or more of seven categories (Cleanliness & Chores, Guests & Overnight Visitors, Noise & Schedule, Shared Expenses & Bills, Communication & Conflict Style, Shared Spaces & Belongings, Lifestyle Habits), optionally capped per category; full_questionnaire returns the entire 30-question set, sectioned. categories_list and questions_by_category browse by topic; question_search and question_info look up individual questions and why they matter. essential_topics_checklist gives the shortlist of topics most worth not skipping, and discussion_prompts gives deeper open-ended follow-ups beyond the scripted questions. compare_answers is a genuine calculator: give it two named people's 1-5 ratings on the same questions and it computes a 0-100 compatibility score, flagging the biggest gaps for a real conversation. A score is a conversation starter, not a verdict. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.

What Roommate Fit is for

"What should I ask a potential roommate?", "generate a compatibility questionnaire about cleanliness and noise", "how compatible are we based on our answers?" — an original, hand-written questionnaire covering the practical topics that actually predict roommate friction, plus a real calculator for comparing two people's answers.

What it does

generate_questionnaire builds a custom questionnaire from one or more of seven categories — Cleanliness & Chores, Guests & Overnight Visitors, Noise & Schedule, Shared Expenses & Bills, Communication & Conflict Style, Shared Spaces & Belongings, and Lifestyle Habits — optionally capped per category (essential questions are kept first when trimming). full_questionnaire returns the entire 30-question set, sectioned by category. categories_list and questions_by_category let you browse by topic; question_search and question_info look up individual questions and the reasoning behind them. essential_topics_checklist is a shortlist of the topics most worth not skipping. discussion_prompts gives deeper, open-ended follow-up prompts that go beyond the scripted multiple-choice questions. compare_answers is a genuine calculator: give it two named people's 1-5 ratings on shared questions (like tidiness_general or payment_timing) and it returns a 0-100 compatibility score along with the specific gaps worth talking through.

What it is not

Not a personality test, not a prediction of how a friendship or living arrangement will turn out, and not a substitute for actually talking things through. A compatibility score is meant as a conversation starter — most gaps it flags are perfectly workable once named and agreed on, and a high score doesn't guarantee a smooth household any more than a low one guarantees conflict.

Privacy policy

Roommate Fit — Privacy Policy

Effective 26 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Roommate Fit is. Roommate Fit is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for an original, hand-written roommate-compatibility questionnaire and a compatibility calculator. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one request.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — category names, a search keyword, a question id, or, for compare_answers, the two labels/names you supply for each respondent along with their numeric 1-5 ratings — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed from a bundled, hand-written question bank and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all — and no query or answer set is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything. The names you pass to compare_answers are used only to label that one response and are not retained afterward.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, and we do not build a profile from your queries or answers: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset and scoring logic is bundled with the server and computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Roommate Fit is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Roommate Fit — Terms of Service

Effective 26 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Roommate Fit connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Roommate Fit returns an original, hand-written roommate-compatibility questionnaire — browsable by category, searchable, with an essentials shortlist and deeper discussion prompts — plus a compatibility calculator that scores two respondents' answers to shared questions. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not a prediction or a guarantee. The questionnaire and compatibility score are general tools meant to prompt a real conversation between prospective or current roommates. They do not predict how a living arrangement or friendship will actually turn out, and a score is not a verdict — differences it flags are often perfectly workable once discussed and agreed on.
  3. Your data, your responses. Any names or answers you or your assistant submit to compare_answers are used only to compute and label that one response; see our Privacy Policy for details.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from a bundled question bank and computed locally, and nothing is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service, including decisions made about a living arrangement based on it. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
