Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
new_gamebuyselltravellist_marketsget_statusgame_rulesTrade Routes runs a real market simulation, not canned prices. new_game(start_city) starts a trader with gold and empty inventory. buy(state, good, qty) and sell(state, good, qty) trade at the current city with a real linear price-impact formula (the price paid or received is the exact average of the price before and after the move), enforcing real gold balance and inventory capacity. travel(state, destination) moves between 4 cities at a real gold and turn cost scaled by distance, letting prices drift toward baseline along the way. advance_turn(state) waits in place. get_status reports gold, inventory, local prices, net worth and realized profit; list_markets shows every city's prices at once for spotting arbitrage; render_game gives a human-readable summary; game_rules explains every formula. Fully stateless: every tool call passes the complete game state, which the calling assistant holds between turns. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Original, hand-authored content. Fully local, zero upstream calls.
The publisher, Unify Dynamics LLC, states that tool inputs are processed in memory and not retained.

A real, playable trading-and-logistics economy sim — not a rules reference or a random price generator. Every price move and trade cost/proceeds figure is computed live from documented formulas.
new_game(start_city) starts a trader with 100 gold and empty inventory at one of 4 cities
(Northport, Ironhold, Sunmarket, Rivertown), each independently pricing 3 goods (grain, cloth,
iron). Cities specialize — a good is cheap where it's produced and dear where it's scarce — which is
what makes arbitrage opportunities genuinely emerge from the simulation rather than being
hand-scripted.
buy(state, good, qty) / sell(state, good, qty) trade at the current city. Both apply a real
linear supply/demand price-impact formula: buying raises the price, selling lowers it, and the
price actually paid/received is the exact average of the price before and after the trade (a
trapezoidal integration of the linear impact curve, not a single stale price for the whole
order). Both enforce real gold balance and a real 100-unit inventory capacity; sell enforces
that you actually hold the goods.travel(state, destination) moves you between cities, deducting real gold and real turns (both
scaled by a fixed distance table), and lets every city's prices drift toward their baseline for
that many turns before you arrive.advance_turn(state) waits one turn in place, still applying one turn of drift.get_status(state) reports gold, inventory, local prices, net worth (gold + inventory marked at
current local prices) and realized profit (revenue minus spend so far). list_markets(state) shows
every city's current prices at once — the tool for spotting arbitrage. render_game(state) gives a
human-readable summary. game_rules() explains every formula without a live game.
price_after = price * (1 + 0.5 * qty / 100); cost = qty * (price + price_after) / 2.price_after = max(baseline * 0.10, price * (1 - 0.5 * qty / 100));
revenue = qty * (price + price_after) / 2.price += (baseline - price) * 0.10.gold_cost = hops * 5.0; turns_elapsed = hops, from a fixed symmetric distance table.Baseline prices are asymmetric by design: Northport's grain baseline is 4.0 (it's a grain city) while Sunmarket's is 12.0 (grain is scarce there). Buying grain cheap at Northport, traveling to Sunmarket, and selling nets real, formula-derived profit — provable by running the exact numbers through the formulas above (see the connector's test suite for a worked example).
No server-side session. Every tool call receives the full current game state as a plain JSON
object and returns the new state; the calling assistant holds and passes it between turns.
Not narrative flavor text pretending to be a game — every price and trade outcome comes from a real, tested economic simulation with documented, reproducible formulas. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.

What Trade Routes is. Trade Routes is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to run a real, playable, fully local
resource-management economy sim. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the
arguments needed for that one move — a game state object and your action.
What we receive. The game state and move arguments for each tool call, the technical headers
needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a
Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is computed locally and nothing is stored server-side. There is no upstream call at
all, live or otherwise, and no game state or move is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to
train anything. The entire game exists only inside the state object that travels between you and
your assistant; our server never retains a copy after answering the request.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and each request is answered independently — nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire game engine is bundled with the server and runs locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Trade Routes is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
