Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.

Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Hand-curated scene templates and shot-type reference (original synthesis of standard filmmaking coverage practice) combined with an original topic-driven generation algorithm; fully local, zero upstream calls

Depth of field, exposure math, drop-frame timecode, file size and ND filters — real computed math
Mic technique, budget room treatment, breath control, pacing and audio-cleanup technique for voiceover
Match cut, jump cut, J-cut/L-cut, wipe, dissolve — video-editing craft technique
Royalty-free vs rights-managed vs Creative Commons vs editorial-only, decision guide, risk flags
Script structure templates, WPM pacing math, and a computed hook/body/CTA outline generator
"Give me a shot list for a cooking video", "storyboard outline for a product review", "b-roll ideas for a travel vlog in Lisbon" — a planning tool that turns a topic into an actual, structured list of shots to capture, not a vague reminder to "get some b-roll."
generate_shot_list takes a video topic and returns a structured shot list spanning shot types — wide, medium,
close-up, insert/extreme close-up, cutaway, over-the-shoulder, POV, tracking/dolly, aerial — by first matching
the topic against 9 hand-curated scene templates (interview, cooking demo, product review/unboxing, travel vlog,
workout/fitness, before-after transformation, office/business, nature/outdoor, tutorial/how-to), and falling back
to an original generic generator when nothing matches. generate_storyboard_outline gives a simple 2-5 beat text
storyboard — hook, context, development, climax, resolution — each with a visual note, phrased around your
topic. broll_ideas_for_topic gives a shorter quick-idea list without the full shot-type structure.
shot_type_info explains one shot type's purpose and a practical shooting tip (list_shot_types browses all 9).
list_scene_types shows every scene template with its matching keywords. coverage_checklist gives a practical
pre-shoot checklist for making sure you don't come home short on footage. shotlist_glossary defines core terms:
b-roll, a-roll, coverage, cutaway, insert shot, establishing shot, jump cut, match cut, shot list, storyboard.
Not a substitute for scouting your actual location or knowing your subject — every generated list is a planning starting point, built from hand-curated templates and an original topic-driven generator, meant to be adapted to what's actually in front of the camera. It doesn't know your specific space, lighting, or story beyond the topic you give it.
Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.
What Brollist is. Brollist is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a fully local b-roll shot-list and storyboard generator, combining hand-curated scene templates with an original topic-driven generation algorithm. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup or calculation.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a video topic, a scene category, a shot-type name, or a search keyword — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from bundled reference data and/or local computation, and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Brollist is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
