What Twilio Voice Insights (BYOK) is for
Twilio Voice Insights (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Twilio Voice Insights data through the Twilio Voice Insights API with a key you supply (Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_voice_insights_settings, list_call_summaries, get_call_summary, get_call_annotation, list_call_metrics, list_conference_summaries, get_conference_summary, list_conference_participant_summaries, list_video_rooms, get_video_room). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to insights.twilio.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twilio Voice Insights. Twilio Voice Insights and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Are Voice Insights advanced features turned on for my Twilio account?"
- "Which of my Twilio calls failed or went unanswered recently?"
- "How did Twilio call CA... end and how long did it last?"
- "Was Twilio call CA... marked as spam or poor quality?"
- "What were the jitter and packet loss metrics for Twilio call CA...?"
- "Which Twilio conferences ended abnormally this week?"

BYOK key
You bring your own Twilio Voice Insights Account SID or API key SID (use a restricted API key, SID starts with SK, rather than the main Auth Token where possible) (https://www.twilio.com/docs/iam/api-keys/keys-in-console). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to insights.twilio.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
