Desi Life — Privacy Policy

What Desi Life is. Desi Life is a connector (an MCP server) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to answer questions about cricket, the Hindu calendar, Indian-language translation, Indian food nutrition and Indian units. You interact with your AI assistant; the assistant sends us only the specific request needed to answer (for example the text to translate, a city name, a date, or a dish name).
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call (text, city, date, team, dish, unit expression), the technical headers needed to serve the request (IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, messages, or account credentials for any service. We do not create user profiles. Tool inputs and outputs are processed in memory and are not stored. Rate-limit counters (a hashed client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Server access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. To answer some requests we forward the minimum necessary data to: - Bhashini / ULCA (Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India) — the text you ask to translate or transliterate, and the language pair. Servers in India. - CricketData.org — team, series and match identifiers for cricket queries. No personal data. - Prokerala (only if enabled) — the date and coordinates for a panchang query. No personal data. - Vercel — hosting infrastructure (United States regions; additional regions may be added and will be listed here).
Panchang, festival, muhurat, calendar conversion, language detection, nutrition and unit tools are computed on our own server with no third-party call.
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and India, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Desi Life is a general-audience service and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security. All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Access to production systems is limited to named personnel with multi-factor authentication.
Changes. We will post changes on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be announced to the assistant platforms that list the connector.
