What Kundli is for

The astrology questions that come up at births, weddings and every Sade Sati: what is my lagna and Moon sign, which dasha am I running, am I Manglik, how many gunas match, where is Saturn right now, what letter should the baby's name start with — and, for the Western-minded, what are my big three and my aspects.

What it does

Everything is computed from an ephemeris on the server (PyEphem), with the Lahiri ayanamsa for sidereal values and whole-sign houses. A Vedic janma kundli: lagna with nakshatra and navamsa lagna, the nine grahas (Sun to Saturn, Rahu/Ketu as mean nodes) with rashi, degree, nakshatra and pada, house, navamsa sign, dignity (exalted, own, friend, neutral, enemy, debilitated), retrograde and combustion, the twelve bhavas with lords and occupants, and classic yogas (Gajakesari, Budhaditya, Chandra-Mangala, the five Mahapurusha yogas, Neecha Bhanga, Raja, Dhana, Kemadruma). Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha timeline with the running period. Doshas: Mangal dosha from lagna and Moon with common cancellations, Kaal Sarp, and Sade Sati / Dhaiya as of today. Ashtakoota guna milan between two births (Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, Nadi) with doshas and both Manglik statuses. Gochar: today's (or any date's) planets from the natal Moon and lagna with the classical favourable/mixed reading. Nakshatra profile and naming syllables for a birth. A Western tropical natal chart: Sun, Moon, rising, Mercury to Pluto and the North Node in signs and houses, aspects with orbs, element and modality balance. Sun-sign profile for a birthday with the sidereal sign alongside. Birth places resolve from a 34,000-city gazetteer with historical time zones, or from coordinates.

What it is not

Not an astrologer: rules are the common textbook ones (whole-sign houses, mean node, simplified yoni and vashya tables, Lahiri), and schools differ on cancellations and exceptions. Not a source of predictions or advice on health, money, marriage or major decisions — astrology here is tradition and entertainment. Charts without a birth time are approximate: lagna, houses and dasha balance depend on the minute.

Vedic (Jyotish)

birth_chart — Vedic janma kundli: lagna, nine grahas with rashi/nakshatra/pada/house/navamsa/dignity/retrograde/combust, twelve bhavas with lords and occupants, Moon and Sun signs, plus classic yogas. Use for "my kundli", "what is my lagna and moon sign". Args: date, time, place, latitude, longitude, include_yogas.

dasha — Vimshottari dasha: the current mahadasha and antardasha, and the full mahadasha timeline with sub-periods. Use for "which dasha am I running", "when does my Saturn mahadasha end". Args: date, time, place, latitude, longitude, years.

doshas — Manglik (Mangal dosha) from lagna and Moon with common cancellations, Kaal Sarp dosha, and whether Sade Sati or Dhaiya is running today. Use for "am I manglik", "is my sade sati going on". Args: date, time, place, latitude, longitude.

guna_milan — Ashtakoota (36-guna) compatibility from both Moon positions: Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot, Nadi with scores, doshas and a verdict, plus both Manglik statuses. Use for "match our kundlis". Args: bride_date, groom_date, bride_time, groom_time, bride_place, groom_place.

transits — Gochar: where every graha is today (or on a date) relative to the natal Moon and lagna, with the classical favourable/mixed reading, plus Sade Sati status. Use for "what are my transits this month". Args: date, time, place, latitude, longitude, on.

nakshatra_profile — The birth nakshatra (from birth details) or any nakshatra by name: deity, symbol, lord, gana, rashi, qualities and the four naming syllables — with the pada and syllable for a birth. Use for "naming letters for a baby born …", "what does Rohini nakshatra mean". Args: date, time, place, latitude, longitude, name.

Western

western_chart — Tropical natal chart: Sun, Moon and rising ('big three'), planets incl. Uranus/Neptune/Pluto and North Node in signs and whole-sign houses with retrogrades, major aspects with orbs, element and modality balance. Use for "what's my rising sign", "my natal chart". Args: date, time, place, latitude, longitude.

sun_sign — Western sun sign for a birthday with element, modality, ruler, symbol and traits, plus the Vedic (sidereal) Sun sign for comparison. Use for "what star sign is 14 August". Args: birthday.

Conventions

• Read-only. Every tool reads public data or computes; nothing is written anywhere and nothing about the user is stored.
• Result envelope. ok: true with data, or ok: false with a structured error (bad_input, not_found, upstream_error). degraded lists optional sources that were unreachable.
• Rate limits. Free tier 60 tool calls/minute and 300/day per user (keyed on the user identifier supplied by the host agent, else client IP); Pro keys raise this. Over-limit calls return HTTP 429 with Retry-After. initialize and tools/list are never counted.

Kundli — Privacy Policy

Effective 23 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Kundli is. Kundli is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for exercise and kundliness information: exercise search and instructions, workout plans, calories burned, body metrics, macros, one-rep max, heart-rate zones and running pace. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the search words, filters and numbers (weight, height, age, sex, measurements, lift, time) needed for the calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call (a birth date, time and place, or two sets of them for matching; a nakshatra name), the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. The ephemeris, city gazetteer and reference tables are bundled; a place name not in the gazetteer is sent to Open-Meteo's geocoder (the place name only). Birth details are used for that one answer and are not recorded, logged in request bodies or used to train anything. We never ask for or learn a name.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, medical records or any account credentials. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. Open-Meteo (geocoding fallback) receives a place name and our server's IP address, never yours or any birth data. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Kundli is a general-audience service; birth details of children may be entered by their parents and are not stored.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Kundli — Terms of Service

Effective 23 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Kundli connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

1. The Service. Kundli returns exercise and kundliness information — an exercise catalogue with instructions, generated workout plans, calorie estimates, body metrics, macro targets, one-rep-max estimates, heart-rate zones and pace calculations — from bundled data and standard formulas. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
2. Sources and licences. Positions from PyEphem (LGPL; based on XEphem's ephemeris); the city gazetteer is derived from GeoNames (CC-BY 4.0); nakshatra and rashi tables and rule sets are editorial content of Unify Dynamics LLC following the common Jyotish textbooks (Lahiri ayanamsa, Vimshottari, Ashtakoota).
3. Entertainment and tradition, not advice. Astrological output is provided for cultural, traditional and entertainment purposes. It is not a prediction and must not be relied on for decisions about health, finances, relationships, marriage, employment or any other matter. Different schools compute and interpret differently.
4. Acceptable use. Do not use the Service to bulk-scrape the sources or to circumvent rate limits. Automated use within the published limits is welcome.
5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your birth details are used for the calculation and nothing is stored.
7. Attribution. PyEphem; GeoNames (CC-BY 4.0); Open-Meteo geocoding.
8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.

When you report a problem, include the question you asked your agent, roughly when, and which agent you used (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini). Never send us passwords, account numbers or ID numbers. Kundli never asks for them.
