versesurahsearch_qurantafsirword_by_wordrecitationhadithsearch_hadithnames_of_allahverse_of_the_dayQuran gives an assistant the text itself. Ask for a verse any way people say it — 2:255, Al-Baqarah 255, Yasin 1-5, ayat al-kursi — and get the Arabic (Uthmani script), the translation you name (Saheeh International by default; Pickthall, Yusuf Ali, Asad, Hilali-Khan; Urdu Jalandhry or Kanz-ul-Iman; Hindi, Bengali, French, Spanish, Indonesian, Turkish and 40 more languages), transliteration, juz and page, and an MP3 per verse or the whole surah by Alafasy, Husary, Sudais, Abdul Basit, Minshawi and others. Read a surah with its introduction, a juz in order, each word of a verse with its meaning, and commentary from Ibn Kathir, Ma'ariful Qur'an, Tazkirul Qur'an, Tabari, Qurtubi, Sa'di and Urdu and Bengali tafsirs. Search a translation for a word. Hadith: the ten major collections in English, Arabic, Urdu, Bengali, French, Indonesian and Turkish — one hadith by its sunnah.com number with the Arabic, a book's table of contents and its hadiths, or full-text search across the six books at once, with gradings by Al-Albani and others where the edition carries them. Also the 99 names of Allah and a verse of the day. Keyless, read-only, nothing stored; a reference, not a ruling.
Sources: alquran.cloud / Islamic Network (text, translations, audio), quran.com API / Quran Foundation (word-by-word, tafsir, introductions), fawazahmed0 hadith-api via jsDelivr (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah, Malik, Nawawi, Qudsi, Dehlawi)

Quran fetches the Arabic text and a named translation from alquran.cloud, word-by-word meanings and classical tafsir from quran.com, and hadith from the open hadith-api compilation of sunnah.com's collections, and returns them verbatim with references and links. Every answer says which translation, which tafsir, which edition, and which grader.
A verse can be asked for as 2:255, 2:255-257, Al-Baqarah 255, baqarah:255, Yasin 1-5, surah 18 ayah 10, or by
a well-known name such as ayat al-kursi. Surahs match on number, Arabic name (with or without the article), the
English name or its meaning ("The Cave"). Translations can be named by edition id (en.sahih), translator
(pickthall, yusuf ali, jalandhry) or language code (ur, hi, bn, fr, es, id, tr — 45 languages), with a
sensible default per language. Hadith are addressed by collection and the sunnah.com number, or by book/chapter; search
downloads the whole collection once and keeps it warm.
Quran does not interpret, summarise or rule. Translations differ and are labelled as the translator's; tafsir is the commentator's; gradings are the cited scholars'. For a ruling (fatwa) the answer points to a qualified scholar.
verse — A verse or range of verses: Arabic (Uthmani), the translation you ask for (Saheeh International by default; Urdu, Hindi, Bengali, French, Spanish, Indonesian, Turkish… by language code or translator name), transliteration on request, surah name and meaning, juz and page, sajda flag, and per-verse recitation MP3s. Use for "Surah Yasin", "read Al-Mulk in Urdu", "Al-Baqarah from verse 200". Args: surah, translation, from_verse, limit, with_intro.

Use for "Bukhari 1", "Sahih Muslim 2699", "the first hadith of Nawawi's 40". Args: collection, number, language, with_arabic.
hadith_book — Without a book number: the collection's table of contents (every book with its title and hadith range). With one: that book's hadiths in order, paged. Use for "what books are in Sahih Muslim", "Bukhari's Book of Revelation", "Tirmidhi's chapters on fasting". Args: collection, book, language, offset, limit.
search_hadith — Full-text search across a hadith collection (or all major ones): every hadith whose text contains all the words, with number, book, grading and link. What Quran is. Quran is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for the text of the Qur'an, its translations, word-by-word meanings, tafsir, recitation audio links, and the major hadith collections. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the specific request needed: a verse reference, a search word, a hadith number.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, contacts, or credentials for any service. Request arguments are used to fetch the answer in memory and are not stored; we keep no record of what anyone reads or searches. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Religious belief is sensitive; nothing here infers it. Use of this service says nothing about a person's beliefs and we do not treat it as if it did: no profile, no sharing, no sale, no training on it.
Sub-processors. To answer requests we send only the verse reference, search word or hadith number asked about (never anything about you) to alquran.cloud / Islamic Network, quran.com (Quran Foundation) and jsDelivr (which serves the open hadith-api files). Audio links point to Islamic Network's CDN; fetching them is between the listener and that CDN. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Children. Quran is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
