card_infohow_to_playboard_generatordeck_listwinning_patternsgame_variantscard_searchcard_folkloreloteria_glossarycard_infoLotería (Cards) is a hand-curated, original reference for the traditional Mexican game of Lotería (a bingo-like game of chance played with a 54-card illustrated deck and a caller reciting a riddle for each card). card_info looks up one card by its Spanish name (with or without El/La), English gloss, or deck number — its folkloric meaning/symbolism and a general, non-copying description of its traditional visual motif. card_search does a keyword search across all 54 cards. deck_list lists every traditional card name and number at once. how_to_play covers the full rules: dealing tablas (boards), calling and marking cards (traditionally with beans), and winning. board_generator produces a genuinely random 4x4 (16-card) tabla, or a quick 2x2 tabla, by sampling distinct cards from the deck with real computed randomness — never a fixed layout. winning_patterns explains línea (line), cuatro esquinas (four corners), tabla llena (full board) and corrida (full deck run). game_variants covers regional and house-rule variants — full-board vs. first-line play, beans vs. tokens, calling styles. card_folklore gives a deeper, standalone cultural and historical account of one card. loteria_glossary defines about ten core terms (tabla, frijol, cantor, grito, llena, corrida and more). Every card meaning, folklore note, visual-motif description and example verse is original writing about centuries-old public folklore — none of it reproduces any specific commercial deck's copyrighted artwork, brand name, or published calling-verse wording. Keyless; fully local, zero upstream calls; a hand-curated reference verified as of its build date.

The question that comes up whenever the game is played or explained — what does La Sirena mean, how many cards are in the deck, how do you actually win, what's a tabla — answered from one hand-curated, original reference, not a scroll through scattered blog posts of varying accuracy.
Look up any of the traditional 54 cards by its Spanish name (with or without El/La), its English gloss, or
its deck number: the folkloric meaning and symbolism behind it, and a general description of its
traditional visual motif (card_info); search across all 54 cards by keyword (card_search); list every
traditional card name and number at once (deck_list); read the full rules — dealing tablas (boards),
calling and marking cards, and how a round is won (how_to_play); generate a genuinely random 4x4 tabla by
sampling 16 of the 54 cards with real computed randomness, or a quick 2x2 tabla for a fast round
(board_generator); get a plain explanation of each recognized winning pattern — línea (line), cuatro
esquinas (four corners), tabla llena (full board), and corrida (full deck run) (winning_patterns); browse
regional and house-rule variants — full-board vs. first-line play, beans vs. tokens as markers, calling
styles (game_variants); read a deeper, standalone cultural and historical account of one card's folklore
(card_folklore); and look up core game vocabulary — tabla, frijol, cantor, grito, llena, corrida and more
(loteria_glossary).
Lotería as a traditional Mexican folk game, and the centuries-old folkloric meaning behind each traditionally-named card, is public folklore. The specific illustrated artwork printed on any particular commercial deck (most famously the "Don Clemente"/Gallo-brand deck sold since the 1940s) is a separate matter and is copyrighted by its publisher. Every card meaning, folklore note, visual-motif description and example riddle-verse in this connector's dataset is original writing produced for this reference, describing the folk tradition and symbolism in our own words — none of it reproduces, closely paraphrases, or is derived from any specific commercial deck's copyrighted illustrations, brand name, or the exact wording of a published calling-verse. Callers have always improvised their own rhymes for every card, so there has never been one single "official" verse to begin with — the example verse given for each card is clearly an original illustration of the style, not a claim to be "the" traditional wording. This is a hand-curated reference verified as of its stated build date, not a live scorecard or a licensed reproduction of any commercial product — for a physical deck to actually play with, look for one at a local market or retailer.
card_info — One traditional Lotería card's Spanish name, English gloss, deck number, folkloric meaning/symbolism, and a general visual-motif description. Use for "what does La Sirena mean", "tell me about El Diablito", "what's card number 14 in Lotería". Args: name.
card_search — Search all 54 traditional Lotería cards by keyword across their names, folkloric meaning, folklore notes and tagged themes. Use for "which Lotería cards are about birds", "find a card about luck". Args: query.
deck_list — All 54 traditional Lotería card names with their deck numbers, in order. Use for "list every Lotería card", "how many cards are in a Lotería deck".
how_to_play — The full rules of Lotería: setup (tablas/boards and markers), how a round is played (the cantor calling cards, marking a match), and how a round ends. Use for "how do you play Lotería", "explain the rules of Lotería".
board_generator — Generate a genuinely random Lotería tabla (board) by sampling distinct cards from the 54-card deck with real computed randomness -- never a fixed or cached layout, so no two calls return the same board. 'full' (default) gives the traditional 16-card 4x4 board; 'mini' gives a quick 4-card 2x2 board for a fast round. Use for "generate a random Lotería board", "give me a tabla for a game". Args: pattern.
winning_patterns — Explains each recognized Lotería winning pattern: línea (a line in any direction), cuatro esquinas (four corners), tabla llena (full board/blackout), and corrida (the whole deck called). Use for "what's a tabla llena in Lotería", "how do you win at Lotería". Args: pattern.
game_variants — Regional and house-rule variants of Lotería: full-board vs. first-line play, beans vs. tokens as markers, calling styles, and more. Use for "what are the different ways to play Lotería", "do people use beans or chips in Lotería".
card_folklore — A standalone, deeper look at one Lotería card's cultural and historical folklore -- fuller context than card_info's short symbolic reading. Use for "tell me the deeper folklore behind La Calavera", "what's the cultural history of El Venado in Lotería". Args: name.
loteria_glossary — A short glossary of core Lotería terms: tabla (board), frijol (bean marker), cantor (caller), grito (the call/riddle), llena (full board), corrida (full deck run), and more. Use for "what does cantor mean in Lotería", "what's a frijol used for in Lotería". Args: term.

What Lotería (Cards) is. Lotería (Cards) is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated, original reference to the traditional Mexican game of Lotería: card meanings and folklore, a random tabla (board) generator, rules, winning patterns, regional variants, and a glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a card name or number, a search keyword, a board pattern, a winning-pattern name, or a glossary term — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file, and any board generated is computed fresh in memory — nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Randomly generated tablas exist only for the duration of the single response and are never saved. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Lotería (Cards) is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.
