No real hotel chain names or prices are referenced anywhere; keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Hand-curated from widely published, general hospitality-industry terminology. Deliberately hotel-brand-agnostic and price-free -- no real hotel chain names or published rates are referenced anywhere. Fully local, zero upstream calls.

"What's the difference between a double and a twin room?", "what does BAR mean?", "will a family of 5 fit in one suite?" — the vocabulary printed on every hotel booking page, decoded plainly and generically.
room_type_lookup defines room-category terms — standard, double, twin, queen, king, studio, connecting vs
adjoining, accessible, suite — and lists them all if you don't name one. suite_tier_ladder explains how "suite"
naming typically escalates from a junior suite through a full suite, executive suite, and finally a presidential
or royal suite. bed_configuration_guide covers common bed sizes and their typical occupancy. rate_plan_lookup
defines the pricing-side vocabulary — BAR (Best Available Rate), refundable vs non-refundable, package rates,
member/loyalty, corporate, group, government/military, day-use, and advance-purchase rates. meal_plan_acronym_decoder
translates EP, CP, BB, HB, FB and AI into what's actually included. general_glossary covers a few more
industry-side terms worth knowing as a guest — ADR, occupancy rate, rack rate, walk-in rate, no-show, upsell.
search_glossary searches every category at once by keyword. compare_room_types and compare_rate_plans line up
two or more named terms side by side. occupancy_guidance gives a general estimate — clearly flagged as
property-dependent — of whether a stated number of adults and children likely fits in one room of a given type, or
roughly how many rooms would probably be needed.
Not tied to any real hotel chain, property, or published price — every term here is generic hospitality vocabulary, and nothing in this reference names a specific brand or quotes a specific rate. Exact bed sizes, room inclusions, suite-tier naming and — especially — maximum occupancy limits vary a great deal from one hotel to the next (often driven by local fire-safety codes rather than any industry standard), so treat the numbers here as general orientation, not a promise about what a specific property will actually allow. Always confirm room configuration, occupancy limits and rate-plan terms directly with the hotel or booking site before relying on this for a real reservation.

What Room Type Glossary is. Room Type Glossary is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated, fully local hotel room-type and rate-plan glossary. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a term to look up, a search keyword, or a party size and room type for the occupancy tool — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs. We do not ask for or need your name, hotel booking details, or travel dates to answer any of these questions.
Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Room Type Glossary is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
