Shortlist — Terms of Service

Effective 24 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Shortlist connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Shortlist is a fully local resume and job-application toolkit — ATS keyword matching, resume readability analysis, action-verb suggestions, a bullet-point improver, cover-letter opener templates, an interview question bank, the STAR method guide, resume section checklists, common resume mistakes, and salary-negotiation scripts. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. A writing/editing aid, not a guarantee. Shortlist's keyword matching, readability scoring, and other analysis are heuristic and provided for guidance only. They are not a simulation of, or a guarantee about, how any real applicant tracking system (ATS) will parse, score, or rank a resume, and following its suggestions does not guarantee an interview, an offer, or any negotiation outcome.
  3. Not legal, financial, or career advice. Cover-letter templates, interview questions, and negotiation scripts are starting points to adapt with your own true, specific details and judgment — they are not professional career counseling, legal advice, or a promise of results.
  4. Your content. You are responsible for the accuracy of any resume, job description, or bullet text you submit, and for using suggestions truthfully — do not use this Service to fabricate qualifications or misrepresent your background.
  5. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  6. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  7. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: resume and job- description text is analyzed in memory for that one request and never stored or logged.
  8. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service, including any hiring, interview, or negotiation outcome. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  10. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
