Shortlist is a fully local resume/job-application toolkit that complements the careers connector's job search with tools to improve your own materials. ats_keyword_match extracts meaningful keywords and phrases from a pasted job description and checks which appear in a resume, returning a match percentage plus matched/missing keywords. resume_readability analyzes bullet points for average length, strong vs weak openers, passive voice, and quantification rate. action_verb_suggestions gives strong verbs from a 150+ curated library by category or weak phrase. bullet_point_improver flags one bullet's weak opener, missing metric, and passive voice, and shows the STAR/XYZ rewrite template. cover_letter_opener returns fill-in-the-blank opening templates (achievement, connection, mission, problem-solver hooks). interview_questions is a curated bank of 90 questions across six role categories and three question types. star_method_guide explains the STAR framework with a worked example. resume_section_checklist covers chronological, functional, and combination formats. common_resume_mistakes lists mistakes and fixes by category. salary_negotiation_scripts gives adaptable phrasing for common negotiation moments.
