Silver Ally gives your AI assistant twenty read-only tools for the everyday questions of older Americans and the people who help them. It never asks for or stores a Medicare number, Social Security number, bank detail or password, and it never sends messages, makes payments or changes accounts.

Response format
Every tool returns a JSON object. ok: true results carry the payload plus, where relevant, a short disclaimer. ok: false results carry error: {code, message, details?} where code is one of bad_input, provider_unavailable, upstream_error, not_found. Upstream outages never raise; they return provider_unavailable with a phone alternative in the message.

Rate limits
Free: 60 tool calls per minute and 300 per day per client. Pro: 300/min, 5,000/day. Exceeding a limit returns HTTP 429 with Retry-After.
Accuracy and limitations
Figures are federal 2026 amounts; states and plans vary. Medication screening is a conversation starter for a pharmacist, not a clinical decision system. Provider ratings are CMS data as published and can lag real conditions. Scam analysis is rule-based and can miss novel scripts — a low score is not an all-clear.
