Word Ladder
Real word-ladder puzzles with a genuine BFS solver — change one letter at a time
A real, playable 5-letter word-guessing game with correct per-letter feedback and duplicate-letter handling

Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
new_gamemake_guesscheck_wordget_hintrender_gamegame_rulesgame_rulesnew_gameWord Guess runs a real game engine, not canned responses. new_game(max_tries) picks a secret 5-letter word from a curated common-word answer list and returns the initial state. make_guess(state, guess) checks your guess against a 4,000+ word valid-guess dictionary and returns real per-letter feedback — correct, present, or absent — computed with the correct two-pass duplicate-letter algorithm (a guess repeating a letter the answer only has once gets exactly one mark of credit, never two). check_word tells you if a word would be accepted without spending a turn. get_hint reveals one still-unknown correct-position letter. render_game renders the guess grid as readable text, and game_rules explains the mechanic and the duplicate-letter rule. Fully stateless: every tool call passes the complete game state, which the calling assistant holds between turns. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored.
Sources: Valid-guess list drawn from this catalog's hunspell-en-us system dictionary (SCOWL-derived, freely licensed for spell-checking use); curated answer list is Unify Dynamics LLC's own hand-curated common-word list restricted to 5-letter entries (also used by this catalog's keyforge connector). Both lists reviewed and a short blocklist of offensive terms removed. Not copied from any single third-party Wordle-style word list; game logic is original.
The publisher, Unify Dynamics LLC, states that tool inputs are processed in memory and not retained.
6 tools, grouped by job. Every one is read-only or compute-only.

A real, playable 5-letter word-guessing game — not a rules reference. Every guess is validated against a real dictionary and scored with genuine per-letter feedback, including correct handling of duplicate letters.
new_game(max_tries) picks a secret 5-letter word from a curated common-word answer list and returns the
initial state. make_guess(state, guess) checks your guess against a 4,000+ word valid-guess dictionary and
returns real per-letter feedback:
The duplicate-letter rule, computed correctly (not hand-waved): each copy of a letter in the answer can back at most one correct/present mark in your guess. Exact-position matches are resolved first and consume a copy of that letter; only leftover copies can back a "present" mark elsewhere. So if you guess a letter twice but the answer only has it once, exactly one of your two letters gets credit and the other is absent — never two "present"s, never a phantom second "correct". This is the single most common bug in word-guessing game logic, and it's covered by explicit tests here.
check_word(word) tells you whether a word would be accepted as a guess, without spending a turn. get_hint
reveals one still-unknown correct-position letter. render_game renders the current guess grid as readable
text. game_rules explains the mechanic without a live game.
The valid-guess dictionary (4,000+ words) is drawn from this catalog's system hunspell-en-us dictionary
(SCOWL-derived, freely licensed for spell-checking use), restricted to plain 5-letter root words. The curated
answer list (1,000+ words) is Unify Dynamics LLC's own hand-curated common/everyday word list, restricted to
5-letter entries. Both lists were reviewed and a short blocklist of offensive terms was removed from each.
Neither list is copied from any single third-party Wordle-style word list.
Word Guess keeps no server-side session. Every tool call receives the full current game state as a plain JSON
object and returns the new state; the calling assistant holds and passes it between turns. That means the
returned state necessarily contains the actual secret word in plain form — there is no other place for a fully
stateless server to keep it between calls. The assistant using this connector is trusted not to read that field
back to the player before the round ends. This is a known, honestly-documented limitation shared by every fully
stateless word-guessing game — not a bug, and not something a "hash the secret" trick actually fixes when the
server has no memory at all between calls.
Not a copy, clone, or reference implementation of any specific trademarked word game — this is a generic letter-feedback mechanic under original branding. Fully local, zero upstream calls, nothing stored.
Effective 27 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.
What Word Guess is. Word Guess is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf to run a real, playable, fully local 5-letter word-guessing game. You interact with your
assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one move — a game state object and your
guess.
What we receive. The game state and guess for each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the
request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and
standard server logs.
Everything is computed locally and nothing is stored server-side. There is no upstream call at all, live or
otherwise, and no game state or query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything. The
entire game — including the secret word — exists only inside the state object that travels between you and
your assistant; our server never retains a copy after answering the request.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and each request is answered independently — nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire game engine and word lists are bundled with the server and run locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Word Guess is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

state; the calling assistant is responsible for holding and passing it faithfully.
