Real questions, and the tools your agent calls to answer them.
term_lookupglossarycoverage_type_detailcoverage_types_overviewcompare_coverage_typescommon_exclusionscommon_misconceptionswhen_to_consider_guideclaims_process_overviewTravelinsure is a general, hand-written educational glossary of travel-insurance terms and coverage-type concepts. term_lookup and glossary cover both coverage types (trip cancellation, trip interruption, Cancel For Any Reason, emergency medical, medical evacuation, baggage loss/delay, travel delay, rental car damage, job-loss cancellation) and broader concepts (primary vs secondary coverage, pre-existing condition exclusions and waivers, single-trip vs annual policies, the certificate of insurance). coverage_type_detail and coverage_types_overview focus on the coverage types; compare_coverage_types lines up several side by side. common_exclusions lists what's typically excluded across policies. common_misconceptions corrects frequent wrong assumptions — that home health coverage extends abroad, that a credit card's protection equals a dedicated policy, that CFAR means 100% back. when_to_consider_guide gives general guidance matched to a travel situation. claims_process_overview covers the general steps in filing a claim. NOT INSURANCE ADVICE, NOT A QUOTE, and not a recommendation for any policy or provider — names no real insurer, product or plan. Always read the actual policy's certificate of insurance and ask the insurer directly about anything unclear. Keyless; fully local; nothing stored.

"What's Cancel For Any Reason coverage?", "does my regular health insurance cover me abroad?", "what should I focus on for a cruise?" — a plain-language glossary for the jargon every travel insurance policy uses, so you can read an actual quote or policy document with a clearer head, without pointing you at any specific insurer.
term_lookup and glossary cover everything this reference defines — both coverage types (trip cancellation,
trip interruption, Cancel For Any Reason, emergency medical, medical evacuation, baggage loss/delay, travel
delay, rental car damage, job-loss cancellation) and broader concepts (primary vs secondary coverage,
pre-existing condition exclusions and waivers, single-trip vs annual policies, and what a certificate of
insurance actually is). coverage_type_detail and coverage_types_overview zoom in on the coverage types
specifically, and compare_coverage_types lines up several side by side. common_exclusions lists what's
typically excluded across policies in general — pre-existing conditions without a waiver, travel against an
advisory, hazardous activities, and more. common_misconceptions clears up the assumptions that trip people up
most: that home health coverage extends abroad, that a credit card's travel protection equals a dedicated
policy, that Cancel For Any Reason means getting 100% back. when_to_consider_guide gives general guidance
matched to a travel situation — an expensive prepaid trip, relying on home health coverage internationally,
remote or adventure travel, a cruise, traveling with older relatives, or frequent travel. claims_process_overview
covers the general steps involved in actually filing a claim.
Not insurance advice, not a quote, and not a recommendation for any policy or provider. It names no real insurer, product, or plan, and it has no way to know your trip, health, budget, or the actual wording of any policy you might buy — coverage definitions, exclusions and practices vary meaningfully between insurers, countries and individual policies. Always read the actual certificate of insurance for anything you're considering, and ask the insurer directly about anything unclear, before you rely on any coverage.

What Travel Insure Terms is. Travel Insure Terms is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a general, hand-written travel-insurance glossary — term/coverage-type lookups, comparisons, exclusions, misconceptions, situational guidance and a claims-process overview. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.
What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a term, a coverage-type key, or a situation name — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.
Everything is answered from bundled, hand-written content and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything. This Service does not sell insurance, does not connect to any insurer, and never asks for or handles any policy number, quote, application, or payment information.
What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, your trip details, your health information, or any financial or insurance-application data — only the general glossary term or situation text you or your assistant type. We do not build a profile from your queries. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).
Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.
Children. Travel Insure Terms is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.
