About

Voicebooth is a fully local voiceover/narration recording setup guide. mic_type_info explains dynamic vs. condenser microphones — how each works, characteristics, and recommended distance. mic_technique_guide covers proximity effect, off-axis angle, pop-filter distance, staying consistent, and gain staging. room_treatment_guide gives DIY tips at three budget tiers (no budget, low budget, mid budget) plus the absorption-vs-soundproofing principle. breath_control_tips covers diaphragm breathing and reducing audible breath noise. pacing_guide gives words-per-minute ranges and delivery notes for 7 content types (audiobook, commercial, e-learning, explainer video, IVR, podcast narration, documentary). script_marking_guide explains standard breath/emphasis/note annotation conventions. audio_cleanup_steps explains 5 common techniques — noise reduction, de-essing, EQ cleanup, compression, mouth-click removal — as technique to apply in your own editor, never as actual audio processing. common_mistakes and preflight_checklist round out session prep. voicebooth_glossary defines the vocabulary. Keyless; fully local; zero upstream calls; nothing stored; no audio is ever sent to, processed by, or stored on this connector.

Sources: Hand-curated from widely published voiceover/podcasting recording technique as of build date; fully local, zero upstream calls.

What Voicebooth is for

"How far should I sit from a condenser mic?", "how do I treat my room for recording with no budget?", "what pace should an audiobook be read at?", "how does noise reduction actually work?" — a practical, hand-curated voiceover and narration recording setup guide.

What it does

mic_type_info explains dynamic vs. condenser microphones — how each works, its characteristics, and recommended recording distance. mic_technique_guide covers proximity effect, off-axis angle, pop-filter distance, staying consistent, and gain staging targets. room_treatment_guide gives DIY room-treatment tips at three budget tiers, plus the core principle that treatment stops your own room's echo, not outside noise. breath_control_tips covers diaphragm breathing and reducing audible breath noise. pacing_guide gives words-per-minute ranges and delivery notes for 7 content types. script_marking_guide explains standard breath/emphasis/note annotation conventions. audio_cleanup_steps explains 5 common cleanup techniques — noise reduction, de-essing, EQ cleanup, compression, mouth-click removal — as technique for you to apply in your own editor. common_mistakes and preflight_checklist round out session prep, and voicebooth_glossary defines the vocabulary.

What it is not

Not an audio processor. Every tool here takes text arguments and returns text explanation — no audio is ever sent to, processed by, or stored on this connector. The cleanup section explains how techniques like noise reduction or de-essing work conceptually, so you can apply them correctly in whatever editor you already use, not a replacement for that editor.

Privacy policy

Voicebooth — Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What Voicebooth is. Voicebooth is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for a hand-curated voiceover/narration recording setup guide — mic technique, room treatment, breath control, pacing, and audio-cleanup technique explained in text. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the arguments needed for that one lookup.

No audio, ever. Every tool takes text arguments (a mic type, a budget tier, a content type, a glossary term) and returns text explanation. Voicebooth never receives, processes, transmits, or stores any audio file or recording — there is no audio-upload capability at all.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call, the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is answered from a bundled, hand-curated reference file and nothing is stored. No request is forwarded to any third party — there is no upstream call at all, live or otherwise — and no query is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant or your name, and we do not build a profile from your queries: each request is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — the entire dataset is bundled with the server and answered locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. Our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. Voicebooth is a general-audience service operated by the adult using the assistant.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

Voicebooth — Terms of Service

Effective 25 September 2026. These terms govern use of the Voicebooth connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. Voicebooth returns a hand-curated voiceover/narration recording setup guide — mic technique, room treatment, breath control, pacing, script marking, and audio-cleanup technique. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP, and takes only text arguments.
  2. No audio processing. The Service does not accept, process, transmit, or store audio in any form. Every tool explains technique in text; applying it to your own recordings is up to you and your own editing tools.
  3. Reference, not real-time guidance. Content reflects general, widely published recording technique as of the build date stated in the Service's own data, and does not know your specific room, equipment, or voice.
  4. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  5. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  6. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered from a bundled reference file, and nothing — least of all audio — is stored.
  7. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  8. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  9. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
