About

CollegeFund turns the education-savings questions people ask before opening or resizing a 529 into real math. college_cost_projection compounds today's cost forward by an assumed inflation rate (defaulting to the College Board's long-run 5% average) for every year of enrollment, since a 4-year degree's later years keep inflating too. required_monthly_contribution solves the ordinary-annuity equation for the flat monthly contribution needed to hit a target, and college_savings_projection runs the matching forward calculation — the two are verified in this connector's own test suite to round-trip. plan_529_basics covers federal tax treatment, the annual gift tax exclusion and 5-year superfunding election, 2026's expanded K-12 withdrawal limit, the SECURE 2.0 529-to-Roth IRA rollover, and FAFSA's differing parent-vs-student asset assessment — while deliberately declining to guess a state's lifetime contribution limit, since those are set state-by-state. A glossary covers 529 plan, qualified expenses, superfunding, Student Aid Index, and more. General educational information, not financial, tax, or college-planning advice.

Sources: Standard compound-growth/ordinary-annuity formulas plus a small set of dated federal figures (2026 annual gift tax exclusion, 5-year superfunding amount, K-12 withdrawal limit, 529-to-Roth IRA rollover cap, FAFSA asset-assessment rates), each a named, sourced constant in the connector's own module — no state-specific limits asserted. Computed locally; fully local, zero upstream calls.

What CollegeFund is for

"What will a $30,000/year college cost in 10 years", "how much do I need to save monthly for $200,000 in 15 years starting from $10,000", "what happens if I withdraw 529 money for something else", "how does a 529 affect financial aid" — the education-savings questions people ask before opening (or resizing) a 529. CollegeFund answers them with real compound-growth math and a current, dated reference — no upstream calls, no accounts, nothing stored.

What it does

College cost projection. Compounds today's annual cost forward by an assumed inflation rate (defaulting to 5%, the College Board's long-run historical average) for each year of enrollment — since a 4-year degree's second, third, and fourth years keep inflating too, not just the first — and returns a per-year figure and a total.

Required monthly contribution. Given a target amount, years until enrollment, current savings, and an assumed return, computes the flat monthly contribution needed using real ordinary-annuity math (not a rough division). college_savings_projection runs the matching forward calculation, and the two are verified in this connector's own test suite to round-trip.

529 plan basics. Federal tax treatment (contributions aren't deductible; qualified growth and withdrawals are tax-free; the earnings portion of a non-qualified withdrawal owes tax plus a 10% penalty), the federal annual gift tax exclusion and 5-year superfunding election — while contribution LIMITS themselves are state-specific and explicitly flagged, never guessed as a single number — qualified expenses including 2026's expanded K-12 withdrawal limit ($20,000/year, up from $10,000) and new postsecondary credentialing expenses, the SECURE 2.0 529-to-Roth IRA rollover ($35,000 lifetime, 15-year account age requirement), and FAFSA financial-aid impact (a parent-owned 529 assessed at up to 5.64% vs. 20% for a student-owned asset, and that grandparent-owned 529 distributions no longer count as student income).

Glossary. Plain-language definitions: 529 plan, qualified expenses, non-qualified withdrawal, annual gift tax exclusion, 5-year superfunding, 529-to-Roth IRA rollover, Student Aid Index, cost of attendance.

What it is not

Not personalized financial, tax, or college-planning advice. Contribution limits are set state-by-state and this connector deliberately does not guess a specific number for your state's plan — check its disclosure documents. Investment returns and college cost inflation are illustrative assumptions you supply, not predictions; state tax treatment of 529 contributions and of the 2026 K-12/credentialing expansions varies and isn't modeled here.

CollegeFund — Privacy Policy

Effective 28 September 2026. Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us"), Menlo Park, California.

What CollegeFund is. CollegeFund is a connector (an MCP server and REST API) that AI assistants and personal agents call on your behalf for 529/education-savings calculations: college cost projections, savings contribution calculators, and 529 plan reference information. You interact with your assistant; the assistant sends us only the numbers needed for that one calculation.

What we receive. The arguments of each tool call — a current or target cost figure, years until enrollment, current savings, a monthly contribution, and assumed inflation/return rates — the technical headers needed to serve the request (an IP address or a client identifier supplied by the assistant, and a Pro API key if you have one), and standard server logs.

Everything is computed on our server and nothing is stored. Every calculation is a standard compound- growth formula computed from the numbers you provide; no request is forwarded to any third party, and no query — including any cost, savings, or contribution figure you enter — is logged in request bodies, recorded, or used to train anything.

What we do not receive or store. We do not receive your conversation with the assistant, your name, account numbers, a child's or beneficiary's name, or any other identifying information, and we do not build a financial profile from your queries: each calculation is answered independently and nothing carries over between requests. Rate-limit counters (a client identifier and timestamps) are held in memory for at most 24 hours. Hosting-provider access logs, which contain IP addresses and request paths but not request bodies, are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.

Sub-processors. None — every tool is computed locally. Hosting: Vercel (United States regions).

Legal bases and your rights. For users in California, the EU/UK and elsewhere, our processing is necessary to provide the service you request through your assistant. Because we store no personal data beyond short-lived logs, requests to access, correct or delete personal data are usually satisfied automatically; you can still contact agent@connectorbay.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use your data to train models.

Children. CollegeFund is a planning tool aimed at adults; while it discusses saving for a minor beneficiary's education, we do not ask for or knowingly collect any personal data about a beneficiary or any other individual.

Changes. We will post changes here with a new effective date.

Terms of service

CollegeFund — Terms of Service

Effective 28 September 2026. These terms govern use of the CollegeFund connector ("the Service") operated by Unify Dynamics LLC ("we", "us").

  1. The Service. CollegeFund returns 529/education-savings calculations — college cost projections, contribution calculators, and 529 plan reference information — computed from standard formulas, a few dated federal figures, and the numbers and assumptions you provide. It is accessed through an AI assistant or directly over MCP or HTTP.
  2. Not financial, tax, or college-planning advice. CollegeFund's calculations are general educational information and illustrative projections based on assumptions you supply or that are documented in the Service — not a recommendation, and not individualized advice. Consult a financial advisor, a tax professional, and your specific 529 plan's disclosure documents before making a decision.
  3. Contribution limits are not guessed. 529 lifetime contribution limits are set state-by-state; the Service explicitly declines to state a specific number for any given state's plan and directs you to that plan's own disclosure documents instead.
  4. Federal figures used are dated. The annual gift tax exclusion, the K-12 withdrawal limit, and the 529-to-Roth IRA rollover cap reflect rules in effect at build time (2026) and may change; always check irs.gov or your 529 plan administrator before relying on a figure for a filing or a contribution decision.
  5. Estimates, not guarantees. Actual college costs, investment returns, financial-aid formulas, and state tax treatment vary; nothing in the Service guarantees any particular savings or aid outcome.
  6. Acceptable use. Automated use within the published rate limits is welcome.
  7. Availability. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty. We may change, limit or discontinue it at any time.
  8. Data. Our Privacy Policy describes what we process. In short: your query is answered on our server and nothing is stored.
  9. Attribution. Internal Revenue Service (IRS); U.S. Department of Education / Federal Student Aid; College Board.
  10. Pro keys. Optional Pro API keys are issued at our discretion, are personal to the holder and may be revoked for abuse.
  11. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unify Dynamics LLC is not liable for any financial loss arising from use of or reliance on the Service. Our total liability is limited to US $100.
  12. Governing law. California law; venue in San Mateo County, California.
